I have several old Gateway Solo 3300 laptops. They were originaly designed for Win98.
Specs -
500MHz Mobile PIII
128MB RAM Max
12.1" display 800*600
Without booting up or opening it, I think 11GB HDD (this can be changed though)
10/100 NIC but no wireless (could be added through PCI card or usb but there is only 1 usb)
External Floppy or DVD
I know I run Win98 or Win2K on them. XP is slow but installable. I would like to try & learn Linux but would like it to have a GUI.
So my question is what can or would you do with these (other than throw them away)? If Linux, what flavor & version. Or what other projects would you come up for these.
