  1. I upgraded to the latest version today and now I can't make it past the verify pineapple page. I can click the check box's to turn the LEDs on and off but every time I get a Wrong pattern entered. Please try again. How do I get past this? I tried this with Firefox and chrome on 14.04lts and chrome on android. All have the same problem. -dan
  2. You're learning linux the same way most everyone else has-install it and use it. One of the best ways of doing so is to install linux on an unused computer, if you don't like it or muck something up just reinstall or try a different distro. Or if you have a fast computer you can try virtualbox or virualPC, then there's dual booting where you partition your hard drive and install linux onto an unused partition. Since you dove in head first your best bet would be to fined yourself a local LUG linux user group. Lurk around for a few days before asking questions.
  3. Lego Rubix cube solver It's an interesting way to use legos....
  4. google DebianEabiPort Then there is the main Debian page itself and read up what you can find.
  5. If you use a DC-DC power supply you wont have to buy an expensive inverter. How are you planning on using solar? as a backup or a total off grid setup? You could also use wind as well. Home depot now has solar panels. I tried to run my samba box(P2 450) from solar and found it maxed out at 108watts during bootup and about 90 watts running setti@home. My 3 us-64(192watts) solar panels run things during the day but two 50Ahr(100Ahr total) deep cycle batteries are not enough to run at night. On cloudy days like today I get only 15 watts. So, if you start off with low power components you wont have to spend as much on the rest the system.
  6. Anyone remember the Ferris Bueller movie where the stripper shows up dress as a nurse?
  7. Do know what cpu it is? If it's winCE it may not be an x86 processor.
  8. Would any DDR2 laptop memory work in it? or does it take something special.
  9. I have a Dell mini 10 and trying figure out how much memory it can take if at all The Dell documentation claims it has a memory module on the bottom side of the mobo. Dell support I removed the key board and it looks like my mobo matches the one in the docs. But I've found other info about earlier mini's claiming the mini 10 had soldered on memory and the 10v had removable memory. Should I just dive in and see what I find? After some more googling I found a video on youtube on what to do, but it was a mini 10v which looks just like my mini 10. memory upgrade
