    VPN's

I would suggest a couple things. Reading the following: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Fraud_and_Abuse_Act Use Cellular data and not the school's WiFi. It's the schools choice to filter content they see fit. Don't expect help on hacking your school's systems here.

    WPA3

I think it will be quite a while before all devices will be able to run WPA3. Look how long WEP has been broken and you can still find some of those sometimes.
  3. Do you have an example? If there is an issue I can see if it can be resolved.
  4. Locking this, and new threads will be removed and potentially restricting access. While it sucks to have your account compromised, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act is not something to mess with.
  5. Not sure if it's enabled, but view your profile, top right corner should have options.
  6. Mostly Overwatch here when it comes to Blizzard games. I do have SC/SC2/SCRemastered,HoTS, D2/D3.
  7. If you can figure out how to get through the settings and enable ADB, you should be able to get them that way. Is it something where the screen is cracked and doesn't work with touch? If you got the keyboard to work, chances are a USB mouse via OTG adapter will work too giving you more options to navigate the device. Not a ducky solution, but a solution.
  8. You only need 1 overwrite anymore to render data unreadable. Disks are so dense that if there was a lab that busted out the electron microscope (I have never heard of one ever existing) they wouldn't be able to read any "residual" magnetic fields. Same goes for "shard of a platter". I have never heard of any lab doing such things. Even if there was a lab, there is more than just your pictures of cats on drives platters. There is a ton of other data that only the drive controller sees. Differentiating between the two is impossible if you were to look at it in a magnetic level like you are suggesting. Plus rebuilding any partial data at the bit level would be such a time consuming process, it's not practical. Aside from all that, the drive does CRC checks on every sector it reads. You can actually have somewhere around 7-10 bad bits (can't remember exact numbers) in a sector and it rebuilds the data on the fly using the CRC (oversimplified explanation). When the drive controller determines that there are too many bad bits, it will rebuild it and then write it to a different sector, flagging the original as "bad". Per NIST SP 800-88 r1 http://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/SpecialPublications/NIST.SP.800-88r1.pdf
  9. Having 2 channels doesn't instantly mean increased revenue. What it really means is managing 2 different channels vs just 1.
  10. No, Hak5 is not selling them. Do not buy.
  11. This is be my DefCon carry pretty much. wallet phone (Pixel XL) battery pack USBC-USBA cable most likely a water bottle Debating if I want to bring anything more than that. There is always so much going on it almost becomes a hassle to lug around. I may bring the 5.11 All Hazards Prime backpack just to hold things I collect, etc during the conference. My laptop is a monster and a pain in the butt to carry around.
  12. If you ship any product to one of those forwarding services, Hak5 takes no responsibility if it actually gets to you. A lot of those forward shipment places have to follow the same type of regulations and may hold your shipment so use them at your own risk. Again, Hak5 will not be held responsible if you use a service like that. via https://hakshop.com/pages/policy#shipping
  13. I'm sure there is copyright that would not allow that legally. But I'm sure it will pop up on the internet somewhere.
  14. Please, Please, Please anyone that reads this stop bothering Mubix with sales issues. This: https://hakshop.com/pages/policy
  15. I can type in my complex 45+ character complex passwords while drunk. Having your password in a plain text file on a USB device is just all around bad idea. With that, it's my understanding that duck script does not support 3 keys like that. https://github.com/midnitesnake/USB-Rubber-Ducky/wiki/Advanced You may have to do some bash magic to have it work on BB. But again, it's a bad idea to start with.
  16. If you wanted just numbers appended. root@kali:~# crunch 12 12 -o START -b 200mb -t 2511%%%%%%%% Crunch will now generate the following amount of data: 1300000000 bytes 1239 MB 1 GB 0 TB 0 PB Crunch will now generate the following number of lines: 100000000
  17. I figured it out using the examples in the manual and assuming you wanted to use all alpha-numeric, special characters to append to 2511. Do you have 76 PB of storage to hold the list? root@kali:~# crunch 12 12 -o START -b 200mb -f /usr/share/crunch/charset.lst mixalpha-numeric-all-space -t 2511@@@@@@@@ Crunch will now generate the following amount of data: 86244656067578125 bytes 82249313418 MB 80321595 GB 78439 TB 76 PB Crunch will now generate the following number of lines: 6634204312890625
  18. Have you checked the man page for all the examples in there? man crunch
  19. This, but replace dd with dd_rescue. It uses a variable block size and will get done faster.
  20. Pretty cool, I used a pre-made plastic case for USB Drive that it was designed to fit. Just had to cut a hole for the antenna with a round file. Enclosure Options YARD Stick One ships without an enclosure. It is designed to fit 3A-260906U from New Age Enclosures, but you will need to drill a hole for the SMA connector. Another good option to protect YARD Stick One is 5/8" clear heat shrink tubing. via: https://github.com/greatscottgadgets/yardstick/wiki/YARD-Stick-One Pretty sure it fits the Ubertooth One as well.
  21. I think it may be because they dove head first into the corporate end of site surveying, inspections, etc. They used to be more hobbyist.
