  2. Hi Longcat, I am interested in knowing how your resolved this problem? I am also having the same issues; C:\tsgringer>tsgrinder.exe –w dict l-leet –u Administrator 213.175.***.*** RMDT opens but nothing; Error:- Timed_Event_Send_Recv: wait faile: TIMEOUT couldn’t get handle to client window I have downloaded robosrv.exe and extracted it to my tsgrinder folder but this hasn’t resolved the issue. Any help would be appreciated Regards DrBlake4000
  3. Hi Guys, I am having similar problems with KonBoot. I am probably missing something really stupid, the only way I can get it boot is to use this entry in my menu.lst title Konboot kernel /memdisk initrd /FD0-konboot-v1.1-2in1.img 1. I get the kryptos logic splash (no problem) 2. It then hangs for a few seconds on the second splash screen and displays the following : "Dummy Bios detected trying to fix SMAP entries Booting up!" Then it returns back to my Grub screen, I have tried adding title KonBoot 2nd step root (hd1,0) chainloader (hd1,0)+1 boot But when I try that option I get Error 19 Cannot mount selected partition? On root (hd1,0) This seems to be a reoccurring thing I can never seem to get any of the mapping entries “root (hd1.0) chainloader….” To work, am I possibly missing a critical file? This is what I have on the root of my USB drive 1.Bootbt3 – Folder 2. Bootoph – Folder 3. BT3 – Folder 4.HBCD - Folder 5.ntpasswd – Folder 6.dban.img 7. FD0-konboot-v1.1-2in1.img 8 freedos.img 9. grldr 10. memdisk 11. memtestp.img 12.menu.lst 13.NTDETECT.COM 14.ntldr 15 rescuecd 16 sysrcd.dat 17.winnt.sif Am I missing something that’s preventing this from working? Go easy on me I’m new to this :-) Cheers Blake
  4. Excellent it’s working! Thank you very much for all your assistance with this, I have downloaded Memdisk and now I have the following up and running. 1. Backtrack 3 2. Memtest86 3. DBAN 4. FreeDOS 5. NTpassword Now I am struggling to get my head around ubuntu-9.10.iso I have got; title Ubuntu LiveCD find --set-root / ubuntu-9.10.iso map / ubuntu-9.10.iso (0xff) map --hook rootnoverify (0xff) kernel /casper/vmlinuz file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper iso-scan/filename=/ubuntu904.iso quiet splash locale=en.UTF-8 -- initrd /casper/initrd.gz everything looks ok to me not sure if have the correct code, mapping look ok to me though. A Memdisk that can boot ISO files would be useful let me know if you find it. Cheers Blake
  5. Hi Thanks for all the info it’s much appreciated this has really been driving me mental. Just one more thing if you don’t mind, going back to the top, do you know where I get the memdisk file from? I have been following the instruction on http://www.anewmorning.com/2008/04/30/guid...sb-flash-drive/ I have downloaded the SystemRescueCD and extracted “dban.img and memtestp.img” files and copied them straight to my USB drive, I have been searching and searching for this allusive “memdisk file” I just can find it any pointers? Once again thanks for all your advice Thanks Blake
  6. Thanks Sorry i am still lost my brain is fried, any chance you can explain that step by step. Its been a long day Thanks
  7. Hi , I am having similar issue’s, I can boot “Back Track” no problem but as soon as I try and run DBAN, MEMTEST86, FREEDOS all the utility’s that are supposed to be dead easy to install and boot from, I get the following error; Booting “DBAN” Kernel /memdisk Error 17: File not found Press any key to continue … Not sure if I am being incredibly stupid and have missed something really silly but at the moment I’m stumped. This is what I have in my “menu.lst” title Memtest86 kernel /memdisk initrd /memtestp.img title DBAN kernel /memdisk initrd /dban.img title Memtest86 kernel /memdisk initrd /memtestp.img title BackTrack 3 Final root (hd0,0) kernel /bootbt3/vmlinuz vga=0x317 ramdisk_size=6666 root=/dev/ram0 rw quiet initrd=/bootbt3/initrd.gz boot and on my USB key I have the following .img files dban.img freedos.img memtestp.img Bootbt3 <-folder BT3 <- folder I have a feeling that I am really going to kick myself when someone points out the obvious answer. Please help
