  1. That would be a big pain in the ass for Mods/Admins, how many members are there on the forum again?
  2. Me too, and it is fantastic. I needed it for an emergency, and it worked great. Still kicking around here somewhere I believe...
  3. I would imagine so, just plug it in... Should do some plug-n-play stuff, if not, try going through monitor configuration.
  4. Sounds like an interesting project, and I would love to help out. Ive been programming PHP for the last 4 years and I have done a little JavaScript, but I want to learn more. PM me if you want my help.
  5. There are many tools for Ubuntu to make your own distrobution. The one ive heard the most about is reconstructor, and here is a guide I found for it: http://maketecheasier.com/reconstructor-cr...tion/2008/07/05, looks pretty good and the program looks pretty straight forward as far as I can tell.
  6. Now, that could end up being a little problem in the long run... lol.
  7. That would be a great hackintosh, and I can't really see any way you could lower the price... (well, with some googling that OSX cost could magically go away... but whatever :P)
  8. Yeah, x64 would be pretty pointless... But I do prefer GNOME, it would be nice if they offered both KDE and GNOME as download options, less hassle, especially if you want it to be a Live-CD/DVD/USB.
  9. The only reason I use it is because its free and I like the interface better than other sites, but learning a slightly more confusing website isn't worth whatever they are gonna charge.
  10. Could it be some program setting or router/switch setting or something limiting the traffic throughput allowance?
  11. There will probably be a guarantee of seeding, or something like that, or else there would be no benefit to making it a payed site. That would be like like making a search engine EXACTLY the same as Google and charging for it. You would have to be retarded to fall for that.
  12. Most of them have almost exactly the same support for products, with very little difference, if one doesn't work, try another.
  13. I would bet that the majority of people who use it (probably 90% or more) will go to other sites for their P2P needs such as Mininova, etc. My guess is that if they do go paysite they will have to revert, because they will lose more money (ads would net them less revenue). Well, hopefully.

    WPA Help

Hey, it would work... tad bit more illegal and would probably get you jail time, but effective none-the-less. I would call it very intrusive hacking (especially if you use an axe, then its real 'hacking', hehe...)
  15. And its just a file server, so its not like there is any real load on it. HTTP might be a little bit of a problem, but try it out, you never know.
  16. It works great, it can be a little slow to load up the directories if there are tons of files in them (mine has about 500 movies), which takes about 10-30 seconds, but as soon as it loads its fine for doing anything on it.
  17. For a file server that should be fine, I have an old IBM ThinkPad laptop running my file server, and it has worse specs than yours does.
  18. They aren't talking about if you will get successfully sued/arrested whatever, they are talking about the fact that what you are doing COULD get you sued/arrested.
  19. Looks great1, awesome that its gonna be free too, we will see in August I guess.
  20. My views on piracy are that its not like stealing candy from the 7-11 down the street, the makers of the Software/Movie/etc are not losing money from your piracy, they are just not making it. And for people like me who would never purchase the Software/Movie/etc its not like they are losing any business.
  21. Thank god for that, too bad I read that after I got really pissed off at PayPal, lol.
  22. That's why I like online articles, they can be instantly published, and they are published more frequently (not monthly or quarterly), so you get the good stuff while its still able to function out in the wild.
