These sort of systems never work out. There will be bugs with the OS, constant maintenance and the quality will never be the same as a genuine Mac. I would forget the idea and save up for a Mac.

I've pirated plenty of software, simply because I need it for my studies and can't reasonably afford to pay for it. If more companies offered affordable student software i'd pay for it.

Alot of (particularily highly customized) domain controllers protect from this type of attack by disabling the task scheduler service. As this is quite an old exploit it's only really relevant to older, probably personal - non commercial systems.
