  1. /me warns Back up your sites. Geocitys wiped mine for TOS violation too many external links apparently :( hak5 hampster dance will rise again
  2. If you're releasing your show under a creative commons licence, there's some good stuff at http://ccmixter.org/
  3. I have a usb hard drive enclosure connected to an nslug, networked to a modified xbox. I've found XBMC is very good at preventing skipping. Navigating folders using a samba share works fine but it is a bit slow. To fix this I installed the unslug firmware on the nslug and the ccxstream package. With ccxstream the speed is like the files are on a local disk. http://www.nslu2-linux.org has more information on getting unslung running
  4. Ok, in premiere first duplicate the clip you want to blur your ip in, so you have the same clip in layers 1 and 2. Lock the bottom layer so you don't change it. Select the top layer, then in the project window select the tab effects. Open the video effects folder then Blur & Sharpen folder and drag Gaussian blur onto the top layer. Scroll down from the blur & sharpen filters and open keying. Drag the four point garbage matte onto the top layer. If it isn't already open, open window>effects controls. In the effects controls window increase the blurriness of the Gaussian blur filter. On the garbage matte filter there's an icon of a rectangle with a cursor next to it, click this. You can now drag in the corners of the matte to cover your ip.
  5. OS X sounds pretty unlikely, but there are some Linux distros available that run well on an xbox. xbox-linux.org has a nice getting started guide here: http://www.xbox-linux.org/wiki/Getting_Started
  6. lo all, Yep, the text to speech isn't clear, especially after i've messed with the speed and stuck music over the top. It would be great to hear a rapper do it. Have put the source files up on yousendit: 70mb rar
  7. awesome, thanks I've stuck the song up on the goodies page for now too
  8. BSoD did a nice segment on reinstalling xp using nlite to include the windows updates and remove the parts you don't want. http://media.libsyn.com/media/dh5/bsod_Episode_02.avi
  9. I don't expect enimem will be creative-commons-ing his back catalogue any time soon, so sticking it on the show is probably a no go. The goodies page might be ok.
  10. lo, thought i'd have a go at doing PoyBoy's song: 4mb mp3
  11. if you'd like a hax0r flakes sticker i made one a while back download hi res
  12. portable juice seems to exist: http://www.portasoft.org/e107/page.php?12 It sounds like you might need to change the podcast folder to on your mp3 player though.

    Hak5 Cluedo

Indeed, a board game for all the family. An online version would be great, if someone feels like making an irc bot we could have it secretly choose the murder cards, pm you your cards and roll the dice on each turn. Then we could call out coordinates and guesses in the channel. I've put coordinates on the latest map: http://goowy.box.net/index.php?rm=box_v2_d...e_id=f_14947823
