  1. it comes up with, BusyBox v1.10.2 (Ubuntu 1:1.10.2-2ubuntu7) built-in shell (ash) , why is this??

    title Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop x86

    map --mem /boot/iso/ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso (0xff)

    map --hook

    root (0xff)

    kernel /casper/vmlinuz file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper iso-scan/filename=/boot/iso/ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso quiet splash locale=en.UTF-8 --

    initrd /casper/initrd.gz

P.S. do i need casper-rw? if so where do i get it and how to i install it

I'm having the same problem too, and i also have the exact same config. <_<

  2. I admit that would be funny however your ass could get dragged over the fire for this one.

But hey its your job so what do I care, GO FOR IT!!!

I agree. this would be REALLY funny, but you will most likely/definitely loose your job.

  3. I don't know if this is true or not but I've always heard it described as "if someone leaves their front door unlocked you would be breaking the law if you just wandered in". Yust because you don't lock your door doesn't mean you invite anyone in, same thing as leaving your wifi unsecured.

I know that it it obviously legal to enter someone's property if it is unsecured. and if someone's property is secured, you breech the security, then enter, it becomes illegal. so you might think that it would only be illegal if you crack their passkey, then use their network, or something along the lines of that. im not saying it is right to use someone's open network, but it would seem that there is nothing illegal, because if someone didn't want this to happen to them, they would secure their network.

  4. Yeah, that was my point. So long as you include the changes and license along with the changes when you re-distribute it, but I still won't pay for a copy of linux that looks and works like XP. Thats why I have xp and linux seperate. I'd much rather throw a Vista glass theme on on KDE(Similar to the BackTrack theme) and keep linux as linux.

    I agree 100%

  5. Consoles:

    Playstation 3 (First 80Gb)

    Wii

    Consoles I don't use:

    Playstation

    Playstation2 (Original and Slim)

    XBOX 360 (dead)

    Gameboy Color

    Gameboy Advance

    Nintendo DS (original, blue)

    Gaming PC:

    System: Dell XPS M1710 (Black)

    OS: Windows Vista Ultimate x64

    CPU: 2.4 GHz Core2 Duo

Video: nVidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX (512MB)

    RAM: 4GB Samsung 1066MHz DDR2

Sound: CREATIVE Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio

    HDD: 250Gb Segate 7200rpm (3Gb/s SATA)\

Monitor: 17" Glossy High Definition LCD (MAX Resolution 1920x1200)

Optical Drive: Matshita 8x Blu-Ray+/-RW with DVD-DL support

    Other Specs:

Tripple monitor (2 Dell 17" LCD monitors, with main 17" laptop in the middle)

3-Zone lighting (Speakers, Side fans, Back panel)

I know this isnt the best gaming rig out there, but keep in mind, this is a 4 year old system. When I bought this, it had the highest specs you can get for gaming laptop (and it wasn't the cheapest system either). Today, it still runs games on high quality with no lag at all.

Sorry for the poor quality, I had to find an old picture and this is the only one i could find with both monitors. Also, this was taken when I just got the computer, I didn't load Vista on it until a week after.
