  1. A MITM attack is needed if you want to see traffic of the second laptop. Since you are using Windows 7, you could use CAIN (http://www.oxid.it) or Ettercap-NG for windows (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ettercap/). First one is easyer to use, but if you decide to use ettercap, you will have to disable IPV6 and DEP before starting the attack (ettercap will crash if you don't do it).
  2. Yes, it will be blocked. I sent Messenger Password Viewer to VirusTotal (report). Sophos tagged it as malware ("Messen" Hack tool). So if you try to run it, Sophos will show a warning message and will stop it from running.
  3. Another option: Use VDownloader for downloading flv files and select output format to AVI, MP4, or whatever you prefer.
  4. And you say it as a good practice... :(
  5. Try ffmpeg (Windows binaries can be downloaded from here). It can convert rm files.
  6. Instructions to build a USB Power Injector for Nokia Internet Tablets. I tested it with N770 and N810 and it worked pretty good :-)
  7. IMO, Cain&Abel is the best tool for ARP poisoning using Windows.
  8. One Way Network Sniffer (OWNS) can be run on Windows and Linux. It can open pcap files for extracting images, videos, http files, emails... It can be downloaded from (SourceForge ). Other interesting tools that can open pcap files are IMSniffer, for saving IM conversations (Live Messenger, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ,...), MSN Webcam Recorder for saving MSN webcam streams, and Yahoo Webcam Recorder, a Java app that saves Yahoo Webcam Streams (sorry, no link). Don't forget popular Cain&Abel. It can be used for voice calls. There are a lot more options in the Linux world ;-) -------- EPSILON
