  1. Perhaps you could point to that specific thread? My searches didn't turn up ANYTHING regarding this particular issue.
  2. Though for the sake of thorough troubleshooting, the interface would not allow me to adjust the channel without first issuing ifconfig mon.wlan0 down and ifconfig wlan0 down.
  3. No change to the resulting output I'm afraid.
  4. After issuing the command (reaver -i mon.wlan0 -b <bssid> -c <channel of WAP> -vv) reaver hangs on waiting for a beacon from the AP. This is my own AP and I have successfully tested Reaver against it in the past, any suggestions? My mark IV is running the 1.0.2 firmware.
  5. Upon searching the interwebs, I have come across a Python script which accomplishes the task using a much simpler approach in my opinion. It is called netxml2kml. http://www.salecker.org/software/netxml2kml/en It accomplishes the job quickly and without hassle. As an added bonus, it is also cross-platform! results:
  6. I'm attempting to use giskismet to convert my kismet-newcore logs into a kml. I'm able to successfully get them into the wireless.dbl file successfully. However, when I issue the second command in the process (giskismet -q "select * from wireless -o final.kml), the kml file contains nothing. Can anyone offer some insight into this problem?
  7. Any wireless NIC that supports packet injection will work with airdrop-ng. So yes, the AWUS036H will work with airdrop-ng.
  8. In my computer organization and architecture class, we were assigned homework over this subject. I think I got the right answers, but I would be very grateful if someone could take a look at this for me. http://pastebin.com/KT7Tf11k the questions are. 11-A.) in a computer instruction format, the instruction length is 11 bits and the size of an address field is 4 bits. Is it possible to have 5 2-address instructions 45 1-address instructions 32 0-address instructions using the format? justify your answer. 11-B.) Assume that a computer architect has already designed 6 2-address and 24 0-address instructions using the instruction format given in 11-A. What is the maximum number of 1-address instructions that can be added to the instruction set?
  9. The college I'm currently attending offers a degree in both Computer Science as well as Information Technology. In the future, I would like to pursue a career in information security. Would one of these two course paths be more useful to me than the other? below I've included links describing the two degrees. IT course description CS course description My gut instinct tells me that IT would be the proper choice, but the input of someone currently active in the industry would be very greatly appreciated.
  10. Oh man digi, I can't breath. That batch is killing me. :-D
