Is there a way to delete a song from the ipod using only the ipod itself (aka not using itunes)

i justwired my power plug up to usb power and bridge my wireless/wired connection :)

Well i got it loaded on a different usb stick, how ever it will not see my usb wifi card where as the 3.0 dvd cd image did.

so with the pandora client you can get 192kb and it works no prob with your setup... can this be done remotely aka would you need a screen on the machine that ran this.. Thanks for your help

Has anyone tried to use unetbootin-windows-377.exe on this to make a bootable flash drive. I have tried 3 times and keep getting a boot error when i try to boot of the usb drive.

What kind of sound file qualiaty do you guys get ripping form pandora? Io have never used it but seen this post arround for ever.. is it worth building one with an old machine? Do you get high qualiaty rips? is it an on demand thing?

A while back there was a episode on ssh tunneling to a home server to get free wifi, has anyone tried this on an iPod touch? I just found a bunch of iPod ssh apps for a few bucks. Would be nice to be able to make sip calls from anywhere :)

I have used software in the past that can monitor folders and backup any modified files to a second location aka a network share, but can not figure out what the heck it was called. Does anyone know of any decently cheap or preferably open source solutions that will run in the background and automatically backup files in specified locations?

I do a similar setup for a guy i work for at a ski resort, we all my routers are high power consumer models (buffalo whr-hp-g54) and they work quite well) 27 active and about 15 more on the shelf looking for a home :P

On 610 you were talking about upgrading the t60 screen I just upgraded mine with one off ebay, super easy to do, one connector, and a bunch of screws :)

I use samba, i have windows, media center ect all access it no prob

Back in the day i could convert the ip to hex and pop it in the browser and it would work haha :P

So i jsut go tmy new zi8 mini pocket hd cam in the mail yesterday so now im on the hunt for a budget but decent external mic.. I have been looking at stereo external mics or a decent lapel (ideally wireless) for doing some internet video. Ideally somehting fairly small and easy to take around. If anyone has some good recommendations let me know! Thanks

Once i get another machine ill turn mine now into a server, the vm route would be handy.. but for now i think ill just stick with a few full os's anyone try windows 7 yet? any opinions on it?

Awesome thanks. Right now im running xp. Debating doing osx for graphics and maybe try windows 7 on the other drive.. Just got 8 gigs of ram so need some os's that can use it :P

So i splurged and ordered 8 gigs of ram and another hard drive. Im debating trying either windows 7 or ipc(hakintosh) on the other drive.. Then i was thinking what if i turned it into a vm server and had virtual os/s worth it for a main pc or stick to full o's non visualized.

Yep, both work, pull battery out for a minute or so, or use the jumper, both will reset it

Ok I have a job delima.. right now im working part time for 18-20/h Company A (web design) - offered me 18/h plus benefits (making that now part time) Company B (IT Manager) - just did a phone interview so if im shortlisted actual interview in 2 weeks. (pays very well with full benifits) Company C (IT Manager) - dont know what it pays but should be decent, Girl i used to work with now works there and refereed my name to manager. so i submitted a resume and prob have a good shot at it. So company A made me that offer of 18/h and was like you can start Monday but come in friday at 1 for orientation. How ever im sure job would be good but that's a little less then i want to make.. So should I take it cause its there and for sure, or hold off for one of the two potentiality better jobs that pay alot more..

I have a bunch of Compex WP54G and WP54AG routers. I put openwrt on some and get get it working with wifi but i cant get chillispot working on it, none of the settings will save which doesnt help me.. ddwrt has it built in but the problem is they charge you to activae it.. and at 30$ a pop it gets pricey for a bunch of routers.. any one have any other suggestions? the routers have a atheroes wireless card so a bit harder to find good firmware..
