  1. Thank you so much. The link was slow but It was worth it. It seems like there are other issues, like you suspected (can't install VMWare Tools onto windows server 2k3), so I suspect that my download went defunct somewhere, I will probably re-download. I do have a successful VM, and this actually helped me solve an issue or two in an enterprise network that had moved halfway to ESX over about 6 months, and now all servers are going ESX within the summer period. So I thank you for your help.
  2. ESX3i. Sorry about that. I go to that URL and it does not work. 2. the file never downloads 3. I would hope someone could provide a copy. I know it is windows only, I have mac as a main machine, but my laptop runs windows 7.
  3. Hello, I am having problems with my new ESXi Installation, I have recently decided to visualize with the new segment, and find myself having problems. The install went awesomely after modifying ESXi 3.5 to work with IDE drives (not hard), after that it boots fine and I am able to set a root password and am able to set network information so it sets at a static IP. Then I go to firefox on my desktop and open up the webpage, loads fine after the SSL security exception. Then when I try to download the Infrastructure Client installer to use on my computer, the download does not work, it displays a blank page with no download option. After taking apart the ISO a little bit (on mac mounted with disk utility), I find that when finding the file in IENVIRON.TGZ\usr\lib\vmware\hostd\docroot\client, it shows as a alias pointing to /productLocker/client/VMWare-viclient.exe . Then I check for hidden folders at the same level as the alias and the level above it, I did not see one. After searching google, vmware, etc, I have found no luck. So my questions are: 1. (if you decide to take the time), on your iso, does it have the link and/or the productLocker folder? 2. If it does, is it possible mine is a bad download (unlikely because it installed and booted fine)? 3. If you have a copy of the installer, can I use your copy? (I do have a valid key for it (it is free anyways)). Your help is appreciated in advance. Thanks, David

  5. HakHouse for AIR Click for full size preview. This is my personal release of the HakHouse for AIR. This is in reply to (what seems to be) the currently dead AIR application found at http://hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=10882 From what I can see it has not been updated or the project has been discontinued. I mainly made this because I wanted an AIR Application for my desktop, and found the link to be broken. If you have any changes, requests, suggestions, comments, or help for me, please put them here in the topic. Why would you want to use Adobe AIR? Adobe AIR allows you to run some web eccentric apps such as the HakHouse in a separate program while you have your browser closed or in another window. What separates this AIR Application from the other AIR Application? There are a couple reasons really. Here is a list. - This one will be graphicially styled. - There will be different layouts for your personal preferences <Still Working on This> There are probably going to be more, but for now that is what it is. Are you Going to Make another version for Hakstalkers? More than likely, but we will have to see. Why make the AIR App for HakHouse? I recently started working with Adobe AIR, and I wanted to have something I could apply changes to that actually has meaning. Requested/Planned Layouts Individual Cameras: Sizes? Individual Chat: Size? Video Streams on left, Chat on right Bugs - None so far! Changelog 0.1a - Thursday, March 19, 2009 - Initial Alpha Release Download Please use Mirror 1. If you do not have Adobe AIR installed, you can download it by clicking the button below. 0.1a Mirror 1: http://daverto.ipwn.me/files/HakHouse0.1a.air 0.1a Mirror 2: http://daverto.com/HakHouse0.1a.air
