  1. My duck encoder 2.6 wont encode the "|" sybbol correctly, im in the uk but ive also tried the us language as well but when the duck is entering the symbol its displays empty in uk and as a "^" in us and help would be great
  2. How would i start the dhcp because i cannot see a dhcpd in the init.d
  3. as for dhcp i thought it started with init.d/jasager and for php 1 added *.php:/usr/bin/php to /etc/httpd.conf after installing the packages and restarted httpd service
  4. I have a fonera 2201c uk with jasager installed when i start it up it cannot find the interface and then cannot hand out any ip's, i am also having problems running php i just get offered to download the php file =(

  6. I have the same hardware knowledge so far that's what i have been using "a standard serial cable" so now the trick part trying to get that magical 3V, i haven't got the foggiest how hmmmmmmmm

I've tried both serial before boot and once booted, under Linux i can get it to output constant hex code but that's the best i can get :( it is right the i am using a rs232 DB9 cable 2 RX (Receive Data) 3 TX (Transmit Data) 5 GND (Signal Ground) or is there a need for a rs232 ttl eg.MAX232CPE RS-232 Transmitter/Receiver

I'm on the same firmware and I'm having the same problem. if i wire the pins backward i get garbage but wired correctly i get no display in both linux and windows using on board and usb serial adapters. i can still access the device normally i just have no serial if i bridge Tx and Rx i get a echo back on me computer. any ideas thanks

  11. i like that idea but i would prefere to keep it on the arduino idea as i have a few of them around my room that my m8 gave my to try and get me in to programming(not that it worked).

  13. i have a mini pc in my car running ubuntu and i need help deciding on a way to start the car using a web server. The device is constantly powered on but has a low power consumption and has a spec of: WI-FI 802.11N 4 usb 2.0 1.6 intel atom 2GB DDR2 ram 500gb HDD slimline dvd 1 gigabit ethernet usb fm tuner 7" touch screen vga headunit i am no programming guru and a linux N00B it is running as stock ubuntu with only my media libary loaded please help me i was thinking of modifying the design of the hak5 rover but it is not yet finished. Just a thought
  14. for a easily configured firewall i am talking drag and drop simple astaro is the most effective for a home user :D
  15. If you are going to go for a hardware firewall try to pick up a cheap pc and get astaro security gateway for home user
  16. if it is for home use i would definitly recomend astaro security gateway out of all linux firewalls i have had smoothwall, ip cop, untangle, etc. my favorite as far as configuration and managment astaaro is the way forward

    Cod5 hands down i only have it for 360 but it is so kick ass my fav's are the zombie levels it is just so annoying when you finally get over run
