  1. nice post, will be trying this later on :) hopefully it all goes to plan but 9/10 something happens lol, thanks for this, ill be setting it up in vmware and testing it on a laptop (xp)
  2. discovery does the same thing, it shows up the ip of people you chat to, i think it works if you just msg them, anyway ive seen it myself. http://live.msgdiscovery.com/ hope that helps, it also lets you imitate other people (so it looks as if they have wrote it) its got a few good features on it. just make sure you exit wlm before you run it.
  3. honestly bro. yes if they use an automated image backup (like acronis) then it would be much easyer to restore
  4. your joking, i had 1 in my dell studio but it went in the bin after i cut it to 1000 peices,, i would have given it to u but my temper got the better of me sowwy :)
  5. thanks guys got it sorted now, i downloaded a program called GetDataBack, it worked well but took some time. i now have all my files back :) i will be noting the advice here and ill take a look at tweakUI for hiding drives thanks :)
  6. OK. like a plonker ive used a tool called RatRescueCenter to check my start ups and a enable a few things on my laptop, in the advanced restrictions you can restrict a whole lot of things but at the bottom is an option to hide a drive, so ive hidden one of my partitions and the cdrom drive (like a twat) but i can not get them to show. i have opened computer management, under storage my other drives are there but not the ones ive hidden im hoping someone can help me with this as i need to format and cant without a cdrom :) also the partition i hidden has ALL my files on, thanks :)
  7. no good, thanks for that though, when i read it i ran for my U3 drive n stubed my toe lmao, thanks agen, its truly fuckered, ebay time :)
  8. Great start thanks, i dont use antivirus as i can check files manualy, never liked them as they dont detect half of what they should, anyone can hex a detection out of a file with no source. i use this program NVT Windows Securer http://www.novirusthanks.org/progs/6/
  9. Right i always forget a few things when doing a fresh install and seen as im not an expert at seruring a system i was hoping people could write up what they change from default, stating if its on vista or xp as i use both for different things. I have a few programs that do certain things.. But not that well.. I am hoping to make a write up on this (which i will post up for people to download and keep).. well i think its a good idea, and helpful to me :P

  12. fuck fuck fuck lol, i just didnt want to insult 'moonlit' i didnt actualy know he was an actual person, by the way the conversation went i presumed more like an application lol. anyway nice site, i love the episodes :) going to try a few things on there.
  13. yeah it feels bad when you destroy these things but when you know other people are as moody as yourself it kindof makes you feel better i like the idea for the new topic, if its not up by tomorrow i will start it with my dead N82 :)
  14. thank you i feel better now lol shit bro, it looks like my old dell studio 1737 lmao, i was testing some files and fried my HDD, the thing was i knew what it done ans i still clicked it, the dell was only 3 weeks old lmao, realy i should have spent £60 on new hdd but no, not me, i decided to throw it full pelt at the wall.. so i brought another 1 :) im on my third hdd now lol. ill upload a pic of my N82 that died in a horrific accident,, it decided to laugh at me when i was loosing it so i sent it on its way to the door frame, 2 days after i smashed the screen.... i think its a way of making myself learn by smashing up my material things that meen soooo much to me
  15. couldnt you do it just by email,, googlemail have an application for mobile phones call 'gmail' and its a java app so it will work on all mobiles (well any you can buy in the shop now).. but i supose its more fun doing it by sms
  16. yeah i do that sometimes lol, well i threw my eepc when the power went, probably not the best way to treat it :\ im sure i cant do nothing with it now, seen as flashing a phones firmware or bios,, power suply is crutial.. :'( im also sure im answering my own question here and i feel like a d**k lolz, the hope remains that a 'magic app' will be posted to fix it if not it will be.... *RIP* Sandisk cruzer U3 4Gb in a dazzaling white, real name:SDCZ6-4096RG *RIP* 03.03.09 - 04.03.09 :'(
  17. lol too late, i ran it on my other machine with xp installed, the lpinstaller worked but never actualy coppied the files so i tried the universal one, it found the drive and was laoding the iso but then i had a power cut. im sure its 'bricked' (i have a seperate topic on this) i would post more details on the errors i had but i think its pointless as i have no U3 :'( but thanks for your help :)
  18. this dont look good does it lol, only had the drive for a day lmao
  19. @ h@lo_foo nice site, some funny things on that site @dingleberries its nice to be loved
  20. i was running the universal flash tool on my cruzer micro 4gb and the power went, now windows wont recognize the drive, nor does the light come on.. have i bricked it?
  21. yes i am using vista i found a topic but this was for creating a partition for NON-U3 drives,, ill start from the start and look through again thanks :)
  22. @moonlit how does that work? very interesting, so an exe can be hidden and appear to be a txt file, Hmmm
  23. if its any consilation the loaded wont recognize my cruzer while the sandisk one will,, so im no further than i was 3 years ago lmao
  24. there is no way of 'binding' a jpg to an exe.. well not so the exe executes. there are a couple of things u could try pictureofafellowfriend.jpg.exe (realy long filename so u dont notice the exe extension) picture.jpg .exe but thats naughty and shouldnt be done unless it has to be
