Hey guys, quick question, I'm alittle confused here, All i want to do i connect to the internet via wifi, then share that connection through my fon which is connected via ethernet wireless internet -> laptop --ethernet--> fon I don't know why but i can't get it to work. All i want to do is share the internet from my wifi card to my fon connected via ethernet. Can someone help? or, is this the guide to do it:? http://wiki.hak5.org/wiki/Internet_Connect...mit_Der_Jasager or is that when you, yourself are wanting to connect to the fon via wifi as well? hey guys, i need some help while trying to get http://wiki.hak5.org/wiki/Internet_Connect...mit_Der_Jasager working i messed something up big time. I can no longer get to the jasager or webif interface on the fon. after i changed the LAN configuration things went screwy, i cant remember what IP the lan was changed to before i reset it (yea, iknow :() I'm really hoping one of you guys know a fix for this, I hope i haven't wrecked the thing :( thanks

thanks digininja! i'll give that a try I believe you are getting that error because you don't have ruby-core nor ruby-rexml installed. I originally had my fon running on 1.2: and when upgraded to 2.1 (http://wiki.hak5.org/wiki/Fon_Jasager_Install_v2_1) I installed these three packages before upgrading to 2.1: ruby-core_1.8.6-p36-1_mips.ipk ruby-rexml_1.8.6-p36-1_mips.ipk kmod-gpio_2.6.21.5-atheros-1_mips.ipk Hope that helps

thanks for the reply, it won't let me just enter the ip or example.game-host.org I need to enter http:// before, which, i think, is why in CS, you cannot type in cs.example.com to join the server. like i said, example.game-host.org (from dyndns) works great. Any further help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks digininja! the upgrade went smoothly. One side effect, i can no longer get to the ddwrt web interface. I just get forwarded to jasager when i type in 192.168.1.1/webif.html i think the html file for the ddwrt interface may have been over written when i performed: mv /www/index.html /www/webif.html cp -R /karma/www/* /www/ for the second time (first being when i installed 1.2 using http://wiki.hak5.org/wiki/Fon_Jasager_Install) Any idea whats wrong? Do you guys think that the html file was over written? if so could someone please upload the webif html file and any other needed files? Thanks so much,

so, using winSCP just transfer over the new jasaer ipk, then install it with ipkg install jasager_2.1.ipk ? is that it? any housecleaning need to be done before or after? need to uninstall jasager1.2 first? or are there new jasager madwifi drivers that i need to install first? Thanks

The guide here: http://wiki.hak5.org/wiki/Fon_Jasager_Install_v2_1 I believe is used when doing a fresh install on a fon? Hi everyone, I have a question for you guys; I have a cracked CS server running at home (xx.xx.xx.xx:27105) and I had setup an account at dyndns.com for my friends to easily connect rather then remembering the IP: example.game-host.org It worked great! But now, i've bought a domain at godaddy and want to set it up so that a sub-domain will do the same function as example.game-host.org How do i configure the sub-domain in the godaddy control panel to link cs.domain.ca to my home IP? (just like what hak5 does for their monthly gaming events; cs.hak5.org) Thanks!

Hey Guys, Just received my fonera (0.7.1r1!) in the mail today and am anxious to get the pineapple rockin'! Before I start I do have afew (noob?) questions that i'm sure you guys will definitely know the answers to! My first questions is in regard to keeping OpenWrt functional. If I follow the instructions http://wiki.hak5.org/wiki/Fon_Jasager_Install will i have the option to run OpenWrt just as a normal hacked router AND be able to type in the IP for Jasager and enable karma? Is that what step 19 does in the wiki:? ? or is this step even necessary? Also, within step 19 what does mean? Next, is there any reason besides darren wanting his pineapple completely wire free why he just didn't power it by usb, rather then dealing with the batteries? http://www.fonerahacks.com/index.php/Tutor.../USB-Power.html Next, on steps like Step 8: What would that command look like? Lastly, just a question about something that happened in on of the season 4 shows; If i remember correctly darren had shannon walk by some people with laptops with a wifi jammer to drop their connection, so that, when their wifi reset they would connect to his pineapple.... or maybe i'm delusional and that never happened! :D If it did happen could you guys point me to that episode or provide alittle info about the jammer or point me in the direction to make one.
