  1. I recommend the Acekard 2i with the AKAIO (acekard all in one) os for the nice interface and ipod-like music player, book reader and moonshell for movies and photos built in, and you'll be able to use it on a DSi if you get one later. My favorite homebrew is Pocket Physics, and DS Maps is also cool. I use my DSi for all my mobile music, movies and books.
  2. Be careful with the numbers on your components or you could end up getting something a lot slower than you expected. For example, an 8800 graphics card is faster than a 9600, and an 8600 is faster than a 9500 which wouldn't even qualify as a gaming card, even though 9500 sounds like it would be faster. Check the charts at tomshardware.com before you buy. Also, you might want to get an sli motherboard so you can add a second graphics card later.
  3. I get error 400 for http://bf2.hak5.org/ even through a proxy. And to Bourvi, the only way I ever fix bf2 problems is reinstall, except for the cd code error. I can't play bf2142 at all on my main computer because PunkBuster sucks and doesn't like my new motherboard.
  4. Is bf2.hak5.org live for anyone? (I have issues with their blocking my ip address)
  5. I think they have my ip address blocked in their firewall at the server at divergentnetworks.com I wonder if anyone else is blocked? Of course I can go through a proxy, it's just slower. nslookup on my isp's dns shows the hak5 ip correctly: NSLookUp - Saturday, January 31, 2009 13:32:21 Generated by CyberKit Version 2.5 Copyright © 1996-2000 by Luc Neijens Name Server: 89.150.129.4 Query: hak5.org Type of Search: ALL - All records Protocol: UDP Verbose: Yes Recursion Desired: Yes Header: ID=17350, QR=Response, Opcode=QUERY, RCODE=NO ERROR Authoritative Answer=No, Truncation=No Recursion Desired=Yes, Recursion Available=Yes QDCOUNT=1, ANCOUNT=3, NSCOUNT=2, ARCOUNT=2 Question: Name=hak5.org, QTYPE=ALL, QCLASS=1 Answer Section: - Name=hak5.org Type=A, Class=1, TTL=11491 (3 Hours 11 Minutes 31 Seconds), RDLENGTH=4 IP Address=75.126.127.87 - Name=hak5.org Type=NS, Class=1, TTL=25843 (7 Hours 10 Minutes 43 Seconds), RDLENGTH=27 Name Server=ns2.divergentnetworks.com - Name=hak5.org Type=NS, Class=1, TTL=25843 (7 Hours 10 Minutes 43 Seconds), RDLENGTH=6 Name Server=ns1.divergentnetworks.com Authority Records Section: - Name=hak5.org Type=NS, Class=1, TTL=25843 (7 Hours 10 Minutes 43 Seconds), RDLENGTH=2 Name Server=ns2.divergentnetworks.com - Name=hak5.org Type=NS, Class=1, TTL=25843 (7 Hours 10 Minutes 43 Seconds), RDLENGTH=2 Name Server=ns1.divergentnetworks.com Additional Records Section: - Name=ns1.divergentnetworks.com Type=A, Class=1, TTL=112243 (1 Day 7 Hours 10 Minutes 43 Seconds), RDLENGTH=4 IP Address=74.86.213.26 - Name=ns2.divergentnetworks.com Type=A, Class=1, TTL=112243 (1 Day 7 Hours 10 Minutes 43 Seconds), RDLENGTH=4 IP Address=75.126.127.64 ---
  6. I just tried going through another proxy in Germany and I have no trouble accessing the site, so I don't think it's anything my ISP is doing. Could it be that hak5 has blocked my IP range (90.184.0.0/15) from access to the site? That would be strange, since forum access isn't blocked.
  7. I'm ready to play. BF2 name is URDead2Joe
  8. If you really want to get cheap, get a domain with someone who provides dns service with url redirection (like $15/year splinternic.com) and e-mail forwarding and point it to a free hosting directory-- http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&q=fr...mp;aq=f&oq= Total cost, domain and web hosting, $15/year.
  9. I have to enable Tor in Firefox to get to the website or I get 404, though interestingly the favicon loads. Just now to get to the forum I clicked on the activation link and that worked, so I'm in the forum without going through Tor, but if I click on the HOME link, it's still 404. Do you think this is my isp blocking access or could there be some other cause? Here's a tracert in case that has any info that could help you figure this out: TraceRoute - Saturday, January 31, 2009 02:43:00 Generated by CyberKit Version 2.5 Copyright © 1996-2000 by Luc Neijens Address: www.hak5.org Number of Packets: 1 Packet size: 64 Trace Hop 1 through 99 Timeout: 5 Resolve Addresses: Yes Don't Fragment: No #1 No response (): , ttl=, ms #2 ds1-nae.rofi1-nae.fullrate.dk (90.184.228.1): TTL Exceeded, ttl=63, 31 ms #3 v210-cosw1-hoer.fullrate.dk (90.185.5.177): TTL Exceeded, ttl=62, 47 ms #4 te1-4.ccr01.cph01.atlas.cogentco.com (149.6.136.29): TTL Exceeded, ttl=252, 31 ms #5 te2-3.ccr01.ham01.atlas.cogentco.com (130.117.2.149): TTL Exceeded, ttl=251, 31 ms #6 te3-1.ccr01.dus01.atlas.cogentco.com (130.117.3.69): TTL Exceeded, ttl=250, 47 ms #7 te4-2.ccr01.fra03.atlas.cogentco.com (130.117.0.158): TTL Exceeded, ttl=249, 47 ms #8 No response (): , ttl=, ms #9 verio.fra03.atlas.cogentco.com (130.117.14.130): TTL Exceeded, ttl=246, 63 ms #10 xe-1-0-0.r21.frnkge03.de.bb.gin.ntt.net (129.250.2.149): TTL Exceeded, ttl=246, 63 ms #11 p64-2-2-0.r23.amstnl02.nl.bb.gin.ntt.net (129.250.3.49): TTL Exceeded, ttl=247, 63 ms #12 as-0.r21.asbnva01.us.bb.gin.ntt.net (129.250.2.158): TTL Exceeded, ttl=237, 172 ms #13 ae-3.r20.asbnva02.us.bb.gin.ntt.net (129.250.2.129): TTL Exceeded, ttl=237, 140 ms #14 as-1.r20.dllstx09.us.bb.gin.ntt.net (129.250.3.42): TTL Exceeded, ttl=242, 234 ms #15 po-2.r03.dllstx09.us.bb.gin.ntt.net (129.250.4.38): TTL Exceeded, ttl=241, 204 ms #16 te2-1.cer02.dal01.dallas-datacenter.com (157.238.224.70): TTL Exceeded, ttl=238, 187 ms #17 po2.dar01.dal01.dallas-datacenter.com (66.228.118.205): TTL Exceeded, ttl=239, 203 ms #18 po2.fcr01.dal01.dallas-datacenter.com (66.228.118.158): TTL Exceeded, ttl=238, 188 ms #19 75.126.127.87-web02.divergentnetworks.com (75.126.127.87): Echo Reply, ttl=46, 188 ms Statistics: Out 19, in 17, loss 10%, times (min/avg/max) 31/114/234 ms
