I think the female mini-usb connector is a limitation. We can hide it everywhere,but when You take the connection cable in Your hand...hmmm Why Paul not replace that connector with a normal usb male?

Just care the ps doesn't get hot... Peak draw can be more than 1 Amp...but average must not exceed that limit... Lower is the voltage,upper will be the amps required...just Ohm law! ;) Both Your PS can be ok for the Fonera.

Jtag is an interesting world... i did use parallel port driven jtags to change firmware on many satellite receivers... very simple interface...just some diodes...(parallel port is ttl level...0-5 volts) Also serial port driven jtags are common...but you have to home-made a converter... using a common maxim 232 chip...and some capacitors...to convert +12 -12 volts level to ttl For our pourposes...let's say and consider jtag "the last chance"... slow speed and time consuming..... good to unbrick any device (using of course a good FW and communication program) My 20 cents...

Hi Sablefox welcome back! ;) It would be nice: 1- to use the APE in 2 ways...if you connect the usbpen and boot...the possibilities to choose between APE and Backtrack3....in a 2 choice simple menu....if you insert the usb pen in a working M$ system...the possibility to use Leapo's work ;) For me it will be a "Killer pen" :) Ciao !!!

Anyway....delete Win7... :) Xp is a choice...AP51 works... but I found the flasher on the Gargoyle page very usefull and working!

The Lexar app just works! Used with Sandisk,Lexar,Sony,Verbatim,Trascend....no fault! ;)

You can put the payload on a fat partition... and use the same partition to start bt3 or any slack system... i do...
