I used that method to get an encypted WS_FTP password from our school admin. FF never ever crashes on me. I wish 100% of users would use FF simply for the sake of not having to deal with IE CSS hacks.

Yeah, it scans the whole drive, so if anything is there it will find it. Only problem is it takes a while. Copying over the files is extremely fast though. I hope you blocked the programs attempts to access the internet with your firewall? Sorry I didn't warn you, nothing special, but i believe it checks with their site for something.

Thermal paste won't actually be at 100% until a few months after application, so really you don't need to replace it THAT often. I use these programs on win xp Avast Anti-Virus Kerio Personal Firewall Ad-Aware

Quick format is the same as format, but it doesn't check for bad sectors. So I believe your files might have been formatted, but you should be able to get them back. I have a wonderful program you can use, I just used it to get some data back from "win 98 auto formatting" (don't ask). The program is by http://dtidata.com/, these people know there shit. It took me a while but I got ahold of the full version. I just uploaded the program to simplefolder.com/Recover_It_Al_ Professional.exe It's only like 400kb, and an amazing data recovery utility. Just wait for it to scan your whole hard drive and then browse around, select what you want and go to file -> copy to hard drive. Best of luck, Jordan

Yeah I don't think you can leave the 0 and 1s, but good thinking. I mean re-thinking things that we take as concrete ideas today is what makes large advancements in any field. I think RAM will be the future, like the very large flash chips someone mentioned. A good example of this now is having a lot of RAM and then having auto start programs that load needed files into RAM. Like I believe Word does this, making the program boot extremely fast, even the first start up.

Both ATI and NVIDIA are great companies. In some situations NVIDIA comes out on top, sometimes ATI comes out on top. It's really a matter of what kind of graphics you’re trying to support, your budget, the room in your case, etc. Without their (and other companies) fight for control over the market we wouldn't be able be half as far as we are today, in terms of processing power, and price. Well making all the other collums hight change with the rest of them is complicated. The best method that I have came across is making an image that is 1px high with the width of the site. Then you make that repeat-y. Make this image the background of a div which parents all the different column divs. Expending as they do. If i could remember the name of that method i would be able to help you out more. If you need to have borders that are dashed just make the image like 4 pixels high and have two of them black, two white. Good luck!

Same here. @metatron No, however when handling the components it's nice to be grounded, which is a little hard with a plastic case. I guess if was more conserned I would of grounded myself with something else.

It's actually useful. Example x server fails to start in linux, i watch to see if the ram is proccessing anything or if something else has crashed, etc. I gues that's not the best example, but there have been times I've checed to see if there was activity.

Also great joke, but really if the thread title matches the thread subject your going to get better responses, and the information provided can be organized better, who knows, maybe someone else has this same problem. Now to your problem: Really not much you can do since you don't have control over the router, and I won't advice you on how to do that :roll: I'm guessing it's something the owner has enabled. You might try using a web based proxy like http://proxify.com/. However sending your password through a service like this, isn't advised. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I haven't gotten a chance to measure how far it shoots but I'd say 300 yards easy.
