  1. Thats pretty cool they're wanting to utilize drones I'm almost certain it could help detect drug crops since such a small device wouldn't draw as much attention as a full size helicopter. The only issues I think there would be are the limited range/battery although 30 minutes is not bad at all, the assumed lack of IR (to detect individuals in hiding in foliage) and the odd situation when you would need to chase someone. I mean with the full sized helicopter you just zoom out a little or go up a few more feet and you have a better view where with the drone you might have a little more trouble doing so. Also what if something happens to the drone say a bird flies into it and the thing comes down on a bystander or damage property? I know probably really really rare but when is the last time you've heard of a police heli' falling out of the sky and hitting someone/something?
  2. If you are scared of getting caught then you probabaly shouldn't be doing it in the first place but who am I to judge. Your computer has a MAC address for your LAN (Ethernet port) if you have embedded wireless say on a laptop that would have a separate MAC. Any additional network interface would have one as well. You only need to change the MAC for the interface you are using As others have said don't log in to anything personal during your session. Scanning is a good thing to do so you know what's around you and what should or shouldn't be there based on data previously collected. The best method for learning what to do and what not to do is on a test network you set up if you have the hardware to play both the victim and attacker. When you know what is on one screen you get an idea of what you are looking at on the other instead of guessing. Have fun be safe and learn as much as you can.
  3. As another member has said in order to do that you will need to be on the network. First step is coming up with the network password there are a million guides all over the internet dedicated to this. Once you have the password join the network and then you will need to open up the routers web page usually something like 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1 and so on depending on your the local IP you are assigned. Then you can **sometimes** get in using the default router logins which can also be found with a simple google search. However this only applies if the administrator of the network has not changed it. If they have then your best bet is using other tools while on the network to try and gather possible passwords because once again humans are creatures of habit so the passwords are usually the same for everything. Keep in mind if you do not have permission to access the network all of this is against the law and obviously frowned upon.
