  1. Yeah I would agree that good paint job would be best option if you haven't done any modding before and you can create quite amazing things just by painting it correctly ;)
  2. Maybe the whole "Internet Relay Chat" confuses people to think it's chatting program, but if you think about it you can share files in almost any chatting program so...
  3. Tbh, "hackbuntu" sounds kind a blunt first time I actually miss read "hackabuntu" and (maybe it's just me, but...) I liked it :P Altough one letter can (and in this case will) cause confusion.
  4. So you are trying to make "gaming server" that will actually run 4 copies of games for your terminals?
  5. O.K. I agree what if you know people on IRC who probably will have the file you are looking for it's easier to just go ask from them and get the files, but it will never be as easy as torrents for example
  6. So you are saying that there was pirate services working on IRC networks? Maybe I am just noob, but that doesn't sound too good solution.
  7. You were instructing on how to download WinRAR? Ermm.... www.rarlab.com maybe?
  8. Maybe I am little off here, but as far as I know IRC is chatting network, sure you can send files to other users, but I don't think you can actually download things (like "real" p2p). Altough you could have bot up which would send files out when it got right messages...
  9. Simply by following the wiki link iaxai provided you can find how... For example you can end up here I know not the best bet, but that wiki link was helpful

    linux rts

I too must say that Starcraft: Brood Wars with WINE works fine and is about as much RTS I can handle :)
  11. Dingle, we are having missunderstandin here (atleast I beleave so)... I am not talking about computers here I am talking about the router, as I recall one poster said that he coulnd't get into his router since his father had changed admin pass word and most of routers have little reset button in bottom which do reset them to manufacture defaults thus reseting the boxs user and password ...and thats where that site I posted comes in.
  12. a ) I am not trying to troll b ) "Learned how to use the internet"? =D As in what? Learned how to use browser and post? Or what? Maybe I am little of the tracks here.... Anyways I guess I know how to "use" Internet... atleast above avarage. To be honest with you I have found that most boxes actualy DO reset when pressing that littele button with text "Reset" next to it, I don't know maybe it's just some new hip thing here in Finland, but meh works for me Well, glad my post wasn't complete b.s. I'd like to say that I have done that site all by my self, but actually it's bit of a group effort from me and my friends (I just happen to be the one who used magics of "Save as HTML" and uploaded it) P.S. I am not sure what I have done so wrong in my short stay here (maybe you are confusing me to someone), but I hope this won't come an issue in future.
  13. O.K. so I am selling my EeePC 701 for my friend (since I got new shiny Acer from my sister), but my friend wont buy it with eeeubuntu on it, so I have to install Windows. Frist of all I don't own USB CD-ROM driver which would make whole process alot easier. I have XP Pro SP2 (legal, w00t! w00t!). I have 1GB USB stick (which I previously used for eeeubuntu installation). I have been searching little bit, but all solutions kind a.... well suck so far, I was just wondering if anyone had installed Windows via USB stick on EeePC and maybe could provide easy solution? Anyways thanks for advance =)
  14. I think he does not have physical access to "Marks" computer, otherwise there would be alot of things he could do.
  15. Walk into your closes book store and ask if they have any books on C++ or go down to your local computerstore and ask them if they have anything. Also there are alot of guides out in the wilderness of Internet.
  16. There should be reset button somewhere in your box and by pressing it for 10 sec box will reset to manufactor defaults (most likely user: admin passwd: password) Anyways this should help
  17. Can't you shutdown Windows box from cmd if you are on same network as target machine? shutdown -m //<targets_ip>
  18. Well you are here, so... Joking a side, no you can't really save that kind of data on your SIM card. But why can't you just connect your phone to computer via USB cabel? Or maybe you mean something like (micro)SD card which you can just stick in card reader to get data out.
  19. Well, of course you don't neccecary need best protection if you live in low population areas, but I would suggest you use it non the less. For live example I have used my neighbours unprotected wireless for torrents in past. And whatever you do change your boxes default admin account and pass since some one can just lock you out from your own box (ofcourse you can just reset it, but just securing your connection is easier)

    Netbook

Atleast I have seen battiers in my local computer store what claim to support both 700 and 900 models... I guess they also have longer live considering they are also for 900 series and their basic battery lasts alot longer than 700 series one. You know why buy spare battery that has lower capacity than your original
  21. If hardware is the same then there is no real differency. You can always re-install which ever OS you like best on your computer. If you want really need answer I would say get the Windows one, make image of the OS and then install your favorite Linux on it, this way you'll get good OS and backup of your Windows if you ever want to go back to it.
  22. Big ass fucking signature!!! Please A ) make smaller one for forums B ) limit its size in your signature
