I love Doctor Who, which first season did you watch, the one with chistopher ellecston (sp) or the original one (B&W)? My favorite Doctor so far is David Tenant. I noticed that about the X-Files, where they only made progress like twice a season, slightly annoying, but I didn't watch enough for it to make a real difference.
  2. Unless you are friends with the celebrity, I don't see why anyone would care if their marriage was in trouble, or if they were cheating on their partner. But this is just my view, an extreme state of apathy for rich peoples personal lives.

LOL I felt the same way... like WTF DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN?!? I just found this though: http://io9.com/5629229/how-to-get-into-20-...-ultimate-guide I forgot stargate, I watched all but the last season, then some guy told me what happens and ruined it, so i never got around to finishing it. And I watched all of Buffy the vampire slayer...I had a thing for Willow =P

    Tv Shows

I was thinking about watching lost, while it was on there were a lot of people saying how good it was, now I only hear how many loose ends they left and that the finale left something to be desired. I just finished Battlestar Galactica, the new one, it was pretty good. Watched Dexter, excited for the new season this month. Watched Star Trek Voyager / DS9 while they were on air, and occasionally will jump back in with them. Love the Big Bang Theory, sadly, I've seen all the episodes about 5-15 times...don't ask... Also watch NCIS, it's always sunny in Philadelphia, scrubs(old ones), modern family, Me and my wife watch Lie to Me, White Collar, Leverage, Pysch, House, Bones , Doctor Who on our DVR when we have time. Wife watches Weeds, I don't care for it but she enjoys it. Occasionally watch some anime when the mood strikes me.
  5. That gov site seems interesting... I was poking around on it, they are selling 3 96 processor computers in one auction for 50$ atm. Says it cost them 250,000 each, so that's 750,000 for 50$. But those 96 processors...400 MHz =P I was talking to my friend about auction sites, and he gave me a list. http://www.govliquidation.com/ http://www.publicsurplus.com/ http://www.govdeals.com/ http://www.liquidation.com/ I haven't tried any of those but he says they are good.
  6. I would guess each security personnel that's watching the monitors has 12-ish tables their watching, since I don't think they are looking for the actual act of cheating, just signs of it on the players. I would also venture that they trust the dealers, otherwise they won't hire them, but if something doesn't add up, like one dealer is loosing too often, or some other fishy situation, they would pull up the video of that dealer of look into it deeper. They also have a few guys patrolling around the tables, mostly just to make sure they are seen, since people are much less likely to cheat if they think they are being watched. These are just my guesses, and could be completely wrong, but it seems very unfeasible for them to have 1 guard per camera.
  7. Do you have a static IP, or a service like DynDNS set up?
  8. Darren covers it pretty well in that episode I think. I don't think he said how much ram he put in it though, now that I think of it. Hmmm...now I'm curious about how much ram would be good for running a bunch of VM's...
  9. Call up who you bought the machine from and ask them the password.

    Os For My Server?

What are you going to do with said server?
  11. Damn, all these people saying give them to Johnny, and once I read OP's post, I could only think of custering them and using them to crack WPA and brute force shit, and set one of those folding@home/SETI type things to run in the off time. I feel bad now =(
  12. I'm not sure, but I think you think buffer overflow means something else then it actually means.
  13. You want to make a web page that plays some type of media in windows media player, but the media has a buffer overflow, to execute shell code? Is this right?
  14. I was thinking that, since the desktop gadget for pandora seemed to not have a limit, but I wasn't sure. Thanks

    Challenge

Sounds eerily like a ZOMG I N33D tO HaX0r my Ex-Gf's mySPaCE. But I lost faith in people a long time ago. If's it just to access facebook, why not just use a virtual machine on a thumb drive, unless they have a key logger on the machine, or looking at your desktop, they shouldn't be able to know what your doing. If your really paranoid, you could use TOR.
  16. I was just wondering 2 things, first off, how to get by Pandora's 10 song skip limit per hour, or is that for their web site only? Second, is this open source? I'd love to see the code to see how it works. Thanks for making/updating it btw =P
  17. With that setup I do, but it wouldn't be too hard to set up it's own network to break into, if you wanted to go that route.
  18. Depends on how you want to set it up, the VM only network I set up is win xp and backtrack 4 VMs on their own network, then i networked some vms from some other computers onto that, for good measure. I believe virtualbox has an option to use an internal network for all the VMs your running. You could use your host to pentest the VM if you want though, if you set up the network card for it, I think you'd just have to set it up as a bridged adapter, and make sure the IP's are right. The best option is whatever you like the best, my best option is 2 virtual machines, since i don't have to VNC in to change things on other computers, and i only have to use my main keyboard. It's nice to try and keep my desk from having mountains of keyboards and shit on it.
  19. Thanks, I'm trying that out now, but there seems to be a few more bugs with it, like certain windows just show up on all the desktops. Also the last update to it was in 2004, so the issues probably have something to do with using win7 I would guess.

    Vpn Temperature

You want to know the temperature of the VPN(Virtual Private Network)?
  21. The ms08_067_netapi exploit doesn't work with vista or win 7, and I recently found out it doesn't work with a fully patched XP SP3 install either(works on an unpatched sp3 install though). It might be more beneficial, if your serious about getting into this type of thing, to learn more about the exploits rather then just run them blindly and hoping it will work. Within the metasploit exploit, you can type 'show targets' and it will show you what is susceptible to that exploit. And a side note, with ms08_067_netapi you need to disable the computer firewall, one way or another.
  22. LOL, I'm relatively sure I have no idea what your trying to say and this thread is way too off topic to be useful and the newest episode is out. Also I'm not about to start squabbling with you over what topics HAK5 covers and if you like them or not.
  23. Hak5 has tons of "educational material", it might not be applicable to you or what you can or want to do, but it's there. Not having anything last season...just off the top of my head they had the home built router, and the rubber ducky project, they also covered DEFCON.
  24. I have 2 monitors going atm, and I like being able to keep my VM's on one, system shit on another, stuff I'm playing around with on another, and my main one with everything else. It's just easier for how my mind is wired to organize things like that.
