  1. Dell Business had a pretty sweet deal on a NICE Powerconnect Gigabit switch not long ago. That would keep you up to date for a bit.
  2. You've not given us enough information for us to be able to help. "File not found" is pretty generic especially when it's an app that none of us have used.
  3. But how is Sony going to deliver their rootkits??
  4. Anyone else mix "trojan" and "son" and think condom? (Sorry for the sidetrack, but tracking software is easily available on the net with a simple google search - in fact, go to any crap site and they'll probably offer it to you with a pop up)
  5. http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/251609/bt-bloc...pirate-bay.html Part of the blocking includes 18+ sites, and HACKING/SECURITY related sites from mobile/WAP based connections. OOoooo Let's make sure that the defenders can't see what the bad guys are doing. Glad to see 'merica doesn't have the exclusive on dumbasses.
  6. Check around the forums - it's been answered a few times. Look for the words "silent" and "script"
  7. It's called channeling, you get used to it... If you want one with the modem built in that does limit your choices - and your hacking options.
  8. I can't recommend Belkin. Not only reliability issues but they have been known to hijack failed DNS requests to point to an advertising page. Don't reward them with your cash. I'd recommend a router supported by DDWRT/Tomato that supports WPA/WPA2 and that way you know what you're running on YOUR router. There are some N routers supported now - Worst case pick up a WRT54GL and settle for G but knowing that you have the best router for under $2k.
  9. What's a "Girl Friend"? (With or without a space.)
  10. Oi! And quite a few smegheads we can see from many of the threads. Dammit. Now I have to go get a curry.
  11. Their non-myspace home page is blank. Bummer!
  12. Or just use the code HAK5 and help pay for the show and the forums you use. (Know that Dreamhost opened up all their plans to include unlimited bandwidth and disk space for qualifying uses - (IE No backups, no mirroring)) Pretty sweet deal - and it's Linux too.
  13. The new cars just look wrong (front wing is too big for that tiny back wing) and the engines just aren't as urgent as they were. 19,000 RPM was just chilling to hear from the on board. Nice to see that slicks are back though. For all the US guys (and girl) that are F1 fans, Peter Windsor's team is supposed to be on the grid next year with US drivers. Someone has to make up where Super Aguri left off. (Just kidding) I do wish them all luck and hope that everyone's careful with the new rules. I fear that we might get a lot more airborne in crashes this year.
  14. They've certainly done more useful work than Phantom ever did. But a quick review: High server costs Custom Hardware Server capacity Huge bandwidth Inability to control customer connection quality Tells me that there is going to be an entry cost that will keep out the "casual" user just as much as building your own gaming rig. It'll be a hard sell to get $20/mo subscription (Just a WAG - Wild Assed Guess) and then "RENT" games to people. I can't see it hitting big even if it makes it through it's first year. Although given all the love that Jaffe had for a "single console" paradigm, this is the best bet. This would also likely make for better PC gaming as we won't get as many XBOX 360 ports of games on the PC.
  15. I want to play too... I'd give you my friend code but it's too much work.. Screw it. (See how you f'd up, Nintendo?)
  16. If you can I'm sure Rev3 would like you to get it from an official feed. This allows the advertisers to know how many eyeballs they're getting and in return how much they should pay Rev3/Hak5 for advertising. I'm sure they're flattered that you feel it's worth a torrent, but it really has an impact on income. The Creative Commons license as I understand it is intended to allow/encourage derivative works - not necessarily the original work. Hak5 and Rev3 probably wouldn't go after you (and don't expect a magic all seeing eye to magically count the downloads and pay accordingly - this isn't Canada.)
  17. All the time. But I'm not dumb enough to tell everyone about it! I'm not a test.
  18. Have you considered making an installer that anyone could use? A macro facility would have to be installed before your script could run so you won't actually be ahead at all. They'll come asking how to install the scripting engine.
  19. Technically you are only supposed to own a single Dreamhost hosting account. But if one's for business and one's for pleasure I'm sure they won't complain as long as the checks clear. But, if you really want to be cool and make sure that the Hak5 crew makes some money - use the code HAK5. You won't save as much but the promo money goes to Darren and the crew to keep Hak5 going. Gotta keep Kerby in catnip!
  20. I think you need to step back a notch and tell us what you're trying to do.
  21. The one big trouble would be emulating/replacing the custom security logic. Probably be better off just building a totally baddass machine and emulate the 360.
  22. The fact that you admitted it puts you above 1/2 (or maybe 4/5) of the guys out there. Humility goes a long way.
  23. They still haven't forgiven you? It was only one beer and you wouldn't have dropped it if the new router hadn't come in.
