Good point, the code would contain a mixture of letter and numbers. The letters will be all cap though, so how could I adapt the code to be able to handle it.

Ok thanks, I checked the thread and I'm gonna use the C++ one someone submitted int values[4] = { 2, 3, 5, 7 }; set_type test_set(values, values+4); I don't know much C++, so would this section be the only one I change int values[5] = { AAAAA, BBBBB, CCCCC, DDDDD, EEEEE }; set_type test_set(values, values+5); To something like this? I did that but got error, it gives the blocks I enter as the undelcared identifier.

Let's say the code given is scrambled, just the blocks are out of order. For example they give you DDDDD-EEEEE-AAAAA-CCCCC-BBBBB and the correct code is AAAA-BBBB-CCCC and etc. They only way to check to see if the order is right is by filling it in on a certain website.

I don't know many languages and the ones I do know, I know very little. So here is my question. I'm trying to list all possible combinations of a code. The code has 5 blocks and each block is different, but I know the blocks just not the order they go in. Can someone help with this

So my iPod Video was recently sent to be repaired, it had a bad hard drive and something to do with audio. So they sent back a nice clean refurbished iPod. My old one had marks and dents all over it. I remember some people getting linux to run on them as an alt way of playing music and such. I remember Roxbox or something similiar of that name but back then audio playback wasn't possible. Should I go back and look into Roxbox or did something better come on. Basically what should I do with my iPod Video?

I don't know much about computer security so I'll ask you this. Whenever my friends come home for family or whatever, we always have a Halo night. At least one of them brings their laptop, I want to send them back with some lols. We have a open wifi network and I'm wondering how can I put some videos/pictures on their machine so they can see them in obvious places.

I've been wanting to ditch Vista on my laptop, so I'm looking to Linux for some help. I've messed with linux in the past, I know who to do basic things in a CLI. I'm wondering what distros are worth checking out. I've played with ubuntu and didn't care for the fact it won't support my wifi card out of the box. I've tried booting from the live Fedora 10 cd and it won't work. What other distros are worth using up a cd? I'm gonna take a look at openSUSE right now.

I've been thinking about a ftp. Basically just storage for my home network. Store my music on it and play it on another computer and allow some remote access. It doesn't have a large hard drive so I won't do any backups. I really don't know what I want it to do, I just want to look into what servers can do and how to do it. Sorry if I seem vague.

I recently got the idea of turning an old pc into a server. I have two choices between pc's. They are about 6-8 years old to give you an idea on the specs, both run xp and also they are very close HP models. I wish I could post the specs but I need to finish a Security final and get some sleep for a final tomorrow. Should I keep xp or go with some linux distro and do you know of any guides out there?

Hey, I discovered the wonderful joy of using Ubuntu on my laptop but it's not very well protected. What should I do to protect it from any malware that might be out there? Also I don't know of any packets sniffers out there for linux/ubuntu, I used wireshark in windows. Lastly is there any other network I should look into? Yes I am doing research of my own for this stuff. THANKS

Hey, I'm new here. Anyways I'm a college student going into Computer Information Technology. Everyday I go into the campus cafe and use their wi-fi for about two hours every morning for about 4 days of the week. They recently made a rule about you have to buy stuff to use the wi-fi so I left there and found a unnamed network. How can I find it's SSID so I can use the internet? I have Vistumbler and Wireshark on my laptop could I use those programs to find it or do I need another one?
