  1. I have retried setting up ICS. No luck. I have the same problem as before. The second i change the fons ip it disappears off the face of the earth. I cant ping it, or access the internet (wired or wireless) or ssh to it. Im going to reflash and find another way, this way obviously doesnt like me.
  2. I changed to the same subnet but was still getting problems. the reflash seems to have worked. i can telnet in. havent got jasager back on there yet, will get it on there tomorow morning. Im typing from my g1 at the mo so cant type everythin i want to, so i'll edit this tomorow. digininja, i was wondering about the progress on the modules? ive been working on a nessus module but was wondering how thats going for you?
  3. Ive tried sweeping and Ive tried wireshark. My wireshark traffic shows DHCP from 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255 And BROWSER traffic is 169.254.6.145 to 169.254.255.255 i meant a full connection cant be established if im not assigned an IP. So there isnt any way for me to reset it? Ive tried the reset button to no avail. Ive tried researching for pin shorts (like i had to do for a wrt54g) and ive tried telnetting and ssh'ing in on all IP's i have found. None seem to be working. EDIT: My LAN connection details show: IP address: 169.254.6.145 Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0 Im reflashing. Seems like the best option.
  4. Tried wired and wirelessly. I dont get a default gateway in the status box of the network connections. Do you reckon a reflash would be the best option?
  5. Just for the record, the reset button didnt do ANYTHING for me. Didnt reset it in any way shape or form. Didnt even reboot or turn it off.
  6. I was setting up ICS on my fon and was doing fine until i couldnt find the damn thing >_< I ran wireshark and nmap'd the subnet but nothing appeared. I thougt i had it set to 192.168.0.250, but it doesnt respond to a ping, nor can i access it via the web interface. Is there any way of resetting Kamikaze back to its defaults (which will reset the default IP of the fon back to 1.1). Cheers.
  7. I made a portable usb charger which output 5v at 1a, and that works perfectly for powering the fon. Bare in mind you can also mod it to plug into your computer so it draws power from usb.
  8. I have been trying to set up ICS in doze for my fon. I have tried every method i could think of, then came on here and trawled through every piece of information concerning it, then tried it, to no avail. After over a week, ICS is still not up. I have this currently set up: Connected fon to laptop via ethernet Connected laptop to my private ddwrt firmware'd wrt54gs via a wg511T card Set my wireless as shared. Set wireless ip to static and to 192.168.1.139 with dns of 192.168.1.1 (ive tried with virgin media's dns, and opendns both not working) Set ethernet to static at ip 192.168.0.1, with no default gateway and no dns servers entered In my cgi-bin/webif/netowrk.sh i have done this: Type Bridged IP: 192.168.0.250 Default gateway: 192.168.0.1 LAN DNS server: 192.168.0.1 What in the above is incorrect? I have come to the above results through thousands (literally) of logical combinations. I know how tcp/ip functions etc but this one has me totally stumped. If someone could point out the errors, that'd be awesome.
  9. I run BT and XP, so having it in either is fine. What i mean about the ip stuff is I am trying to get around the problem of having people connect, but they have no internet connection. Ive tried using ICS in doze, but it doesnt seem to be working.
  10. Ive just built a battery pack with 1000mah rechargeable batteries and it puts out approx the same power until their completly drained. iyeman, you beat me to it! I was looking at the power supply and noticed it ran off 5v, and what does usb run off? you guessed it, 5v =P I havent don eit yet as i dont have any more wal jack's available as the one the fonera takes is pretty rare (at least in my house =P)
  11. What i mean is, should i have it? Yes, quite a few are in the wireless favorites list. What? The fon and my computer? Or the wifi card connected to the fon and connected to the outside network?
  12. I have sorted the light problems. webif shows wireless is on, and an assortment of my wireless enabled devices recognise my AP (although they are no where near it, and should nto have full signal.) and connect to it. They also appear in the karma connected clients window. So i guess everything is peachy now :) I dont understand the double ssid concept. (i understand the concept, but why dont i have it) On my laptop im doing the pen testing on, i connect to OpenWrt, which is not encrypted. And thats the only ssid that appears. Is this correct? I want to know everything is standard and working before i add to the fon. :) Im also working on setting up a connection to allow the users to still access the internet through the fon, through my own connection. I havent had any luck. Bridging doesnt work because when i go to 192.168.1.1 in by browser i get my DD-WRT linksys router home page, not the karma page.
  13. Hi, Been a fan of hak5 since the first series, only registered on the forums today because all the projects that ive taken up that i saw on hak5 have been so well documented and so well explained, i never needed to ask for help. The fon project is no different, but i ran into a snag. I managed to get everything going, it was fine. I tested out the fon with karma installed and it worked a treat. Wireless is my "area", so you can imagine how excited i was when i heard of the Jasager project. As i was saying, it worked fine.....until i unplugged the cat5 cable so i could have it wireless. I went to search for the fon in the wlassisstant in BTv2 and 3, and then i tried on xp, but none would pick it up. SO i came to the conclusion it was the fon. Looking at the fon, the WLAN light is off, i get no activity from ti whatsoever. I find this odd because i was sure to set wireles transmit to on when i was undergoing the project. In case it didnt work, i went back into putty and ran the commands again, to no avail. Any help would be awesome. I hate joining a forum just to ask a question, i frequent on some other forums and hate it when people do it there, so it kills me that my first post here is a question >_< Halp =] EDIT: I fixed the problem. A nice long reboot did the trick. Now Open WRT appears in a connections list. Although, isnt Myworld or somethign similar supposed to appear?
