  1. I tried that but to no avail. Although it looks like i'm having some success with Chris Oliver's method on his blog @ http://excid3.betaserver.org/projects/open...n-the-fon-plus/ I just got the gargoyle firmware on there, although i cant get wifi to power up. I'll keep hacking away at it and let you know how it goes. I think it would be really useful if someone made a stick for the Fonera 2201 users to Chris' blog as i googled like crazy and tried a few different methods before i found this.
  2. Hey I just got a new Fonera 2201 and have been trying to enable ssh on it but have run into some problems. I've been following these directions but cannot seem to get to TFTP the new image over redboot. I can get into redboot fine and can ping my laptop with TFTPD.exe running but the image does not seem to come down into the Fonera. Any ideas? See my output below RedBoot> ping -l 192.168.1.1 -h 192.168.1.254 ** Error: invalid number '192.168.1.1' for <length> - size of payload PING - Invalid option specified RedBoot> ping -h 192.168.1.254 Network PING - from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254 PING - received 10 of 10 expected RedBoot> fis list Name FLASH addr Mem addr Length Entry point RedBoot 0xA8000000 0xA8000000 0x00030000 0x00000000 FIS directory 0xA87E0000 0xA87E0000 0x0000F000 0x00000000 RedBoot config 0xA87EF000 0xA87EF000 0x00001000 0x00000000 RedBoot> x -b 0xa8250000 -l 32 A8250000: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0F 10 00 A0 00 10 00 A0 C8 |................| A8250010: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 |............... | RedBoot> load -r -b 0x80100000 image.bin Using default protocol (TFTP) TFTP timed out 1/15 Can't load 'image.bin': operation timed out RedBoot> Here are results of netstat... 3. ESX i is what you need. Its free and pretty easy to setup, much more mature then microsoft's offerings and the footprint is tiny. http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_35/esx_3/r35...ation_guide.pdf
