  1. Since I was just testing it out in ubuntu with plans to use it in bt4. I think I'm going to build an sd card with persistent changes for bt4. Thank you so much for the help. Cheers,
  2. I've followed all of the directions noted here http://www.hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=15269. Up the the point of getting the fonera to connect to the internet. echo 1 | sudo tee /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward sudo iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o wlan0 -j MASQUERADE wlan0 because that is the device that is actually accessing my internet connection. Im using a old eepc 900a running ubuntu. Does anyone have any insight on this? I would love help. cheers,
  3. What route should I take to prepare for this exam? Thanks for the help. .ws
  4. I sent 80 a drum n bass track of mine and they actually remixed and through vocals over it. And then they through it on there site. I am totally pumped. It's the Rock it (Anthony Brown) remix......on the non-album tracks area What do you guys think? http://dualcoremusic.com/nerdcore/480/do-y...-drum-and-bass/
  5. http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ Didn't realize that this even existed. But it is neat. It allows you to share monitors over different os's. It gave me issues with my mac book, but it still worked. Here is my work laptop with one of my net books attached.
  6. People here in town are freaking out over this mod......essentially trying to rape my poor Audrey. It's pretty neat I guess......didn't think it would get that much attention.
  7. I like girls......so I bought a mac. trolling..........................
  8. I don't see what the big deal is if people want to buy into the "i" trend. I personally love my mac and all of my random apple apparel. I didn't buy any of it for the trend aspect of it. I just liked it and still do. This kind of reminds me of when I was in high school, when I was a sponsored skateboarder. I would get so upset over all the "posers" that would go around with skateboards and do nothing with them. But when I got older and better I realized that what does it even if they are posers or whatever. If people want to spend money on a overly expensive trend to look cool.................who cares? It dosn't effect you or anyone else but themselves. Let them be ridiculous, and if they want to act smug over a computer ....... Just laugh at them ........ because they are not worth your time anyway. mac vs pc should never be an issue.
  9. To tell you the truth it was relatively painless. Tedious, but painless. If you have ever taken apart a laptop or anything that you value, you will approach this with care and you will not break anything. But in all honesty I was scared as hell to do it. Glad I did though.
  10. Swapped out the Top Case and added some color. Thoughts? And the best part.....
  11. Wow, just wow. I feel like that scene in American Psycho, when they are comparing business cards. I am thoroughly impressed and envious.

  13. Storage. I was thinking of it as something they could add files and take files a way from. BUt not have the ability to erase the whole thing of course.
  14. I wanted to use this as a internet server. And realistically I will not have many users during the day at all.I appreciate your help a lot. I know this is probably small fish for you, and I really appreciate your help. My end goal is to make it far beyond help desk, and possibly a security specialist in the future. I know I have to start at square one. Thanks again.
  15. I was just given a dell mini 9 and a 300gb wd passport external hd. Is it possible to turn this into a mini media server for me and my friends to access remotely? I've never setup a server before so i wanted this to be a a tiny project. But I have no idea where to start. I'm just a help-desk guy I have no idea how to do these things. And the network admin at my co. has no idea how to help me with this. I would appreciate any form of help. I was looking at ubuntu server ed. tried to install it but I have no idea what I am doing. I wanted mac and pc users to be able to read and write to files. Thanks alot. cheers,
  16. Wow, those are some great tools. I have ubcd, but hirens is awesome. Thanks.
  17. I currently work at a company that sometimes requires me to go to locations and do on the spot troubleshooting and repair offshore. Granted most of my work offshore is malware removal and spyware checks, which I have malware bytes and spybot preloaded on a stick for that. How would you set a usb stick up for this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. cheers,
