  1. ..Or it seems thats hes not really a dad. Just a script kiddie trying the same old Social Engineering technique that has failed hundreds and hundreds of times.
  2. I lol'd far too much at that, but it did make my day, cheers digip. I kinda agree. Id get some legit software, if any, to do this. Still dont really understand though..
  3. Gotta add lads, I freakin love pirate bay! TBH, any games, or music I download, if its good, I honestly buy it. If theres a few songs I like, I miight just buy those songs. Same goes with games. One more thing - I fucking lol'd my arse off when Pirate Bay changed their logo to "Warner Bros Loves Pirate Bay". Seriously, thought I was gonna have a hernia. Sooo funny.
  4. Dont know if this really counts, but I tried to brute-force my router once, for a laugh. After a while my wireless reception started dying, and eventually conked, and was refusing access to its GUI. Went into my main computer room, looked at the BTHub and it looked fine, sept nothing could connect to the internet. I took about 10 resets, and leaving it be for about half an hour until it started working again. Im a bit of a noob, so I was bloody bricking it. After it was up and running again, it failed on me another 3 times, but has been running fine since.
  5. Thanks for the reply :). On XP, I went to Device Manager. It come up under "Portable Devices" as "Creative Zen"; Im betting the "Portable Devices" entry was made when I installed the software. Didnt find much when I went to "Properties" :(
  6. Lol. Update: Just plugged the zen into my Xbox 360. And it works - the xbox can browse through my awesome music collection. If the xbox can do it without crappy crapware, why cant a PC?
  7. Awesome project man. Definately gonna keep track of this. Never too late, Darren... ;)
  8. Wow, Digip, thanks for the really fast reply. Really sorry, I should have cleared this up. Im using the "Creative Zen". Its confusing, as Creative had a line called the Creative Zen, which included the vision M, Zen Stone and some others. But this is just the Creative Zen. Its a flash based Media Player. http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/zen/ The music on that flash demo sounds like its straight from a porno.. EDIT: Wow, thanks alot for that modding link digip. Thats my Zen model right there. Legend :D
  9. I wanted to ask here before I totally lost hope. Its annoying, because it limits the use of my Creative Zen greatly. Im so used to going to mates houses, and plugging my MP3 player into their computer, and playing my obviously superior taste in music at them :P. But it cant be done now I bought this Creative Zen. You have to install some crapware to access the thing. Which meant that when i copied my music to it, I went to play the music from the Zen (on a computer with the crapware installed), but couldnt access the "open with.." right-click option. Is there any way to use this as a "normal" USB drive, like Plug N Play? Thanks, Pritchardo92
  10. Hahaha. That actually made my day, shonen. Thank you. Haha.
  11. Awryt VaKo. I'm not THAT tech-savvy to be honest, but I'd like to help out. Sounds good, and I could see it helping out more than a few people.
  12. Wow, that sounds pretty damn aweseom VaKo. Id sure as hell donate money for that project :)
  13. Definately checking out DreamHost digip, thanks. Any alternatives guys?
  14. Thanks for the replies :) @digip: Thanks. But doesnt that require leaving my home machine on all the time? I was hoping that wouldnt be neccesary. @VaKo: Wow, seriously? How? Cheers, pritchardo92
  15. I would like to use SSH tunneling, mainly because I'm sick of my schools filtering, but also for general security, however I dont want to have to leave my home computer on all the time. I've seen a few websites offering "free" UNIX shell accounts on servers. But so far, I havent been able to find one that is actually free, and doesnt require donations. Does anyone know of such a website? Or is there an alternative solution to my problem? I was hoping to use PuTTY portable and portable Firefox. Thanks in advance. (I know theres a recent thread similar to this, but I didnt want to thread-jack..)
  16. Wow.. Im guessing either a prank or its been defaced..
  17. Okay. This is a stupid idea, and there will be holes punched in it with ease. But how about a totally different look at this. Okay, stealth is important. So people have decided to try and disable the AVs, which has proved to be rather ineffective. Is it possible to use some kind of DoS attack on them? Make them total up a large number of detections, in order to miss out maybe one or two lines of code? Sure, itd be seen by whoevers PC it is, but if you have time to plug in a USB, maybe youl have time to run another script that could either clear the detection log of the AV, or just close all of the "Detection Found!" windows.. Just an idea. Totally improbable, but I thought I might aswell speak up about it. Also this would be totally independant to the AV.. EDIT: Basically a buffer overflow. Why I didnt use that phrase earlier, I dont know lol.
  18. Starting to look like the guy that set up your router kinda screwed you over mate.. Id go with tapping into the line, and seeing where wireshark gets you. Did you actually pay this guy to set it up for you? O.o
  19. Wow. I had searched, guess I just didnt look into it enough. Thats for the link mate, definately worth checking out. Thanks.
  20. I know its possible to rummage through all the settings in Windows XP and disable and then re-enable standby mode, but thats too much hassle I rekon. This would be really useful, because im working from an old-ish dell laptop, and use standby often, but its quite frustrating when it goes into standby when im downloading or seeding a torrent. I was thinking a batch file - one for turning standby mode on, and one to turn it off. A toggle one would be great, but i dont think thats possible. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Pritchardo92 EDIT: By "turning standby mode on", i really mean that it will go into standby mode automatically after x minutes, not that it will go straight into standyby mode. Re-read, and realised that wasnt too clear.
  21. awesome guys. great ideas. kinda been worried about the USB hacks section, seems to have died a little. If there can be atleast one more push, ill be happy :). Any way i can help, give me a shout. Cheers, Pritchardo92
  22. I read about that actually. Its supposed to be the achilles heel in network security. I ticked the "Enable UPnP" box in uTorrent, which didnt sort it out. Il have to read up on it a bit first i think. Thanks for the suggestion.
  23. Oooh. Loads of great ideas guys! Think ill load it up with BT3, and see how it goes from there. Wish windows could recognise more than 1 partition. Then I could have a BT3 partition and a general use partition. But hey. Cheers guys :)
  24. Wow cheers for the speedy reply! Oh, I would do that. But see.. *braces* This is a family setup, and lets just say that im not at the top of the tech-chain.. If you get me?
  25. Hi. This is for totally legit reasons - Im getting diabolical speeds downloading and uploading torrents because I have done the port forwarding thing. Its possible by accessing the BTHomeHub UI from a web browser, but its asking me for a password and username, which for the life of me i dont know. Is there a way to get by this? Like an alternative way to port forward or a way to bruteforce the HomeHub? Thanks, Pritchardo92
