  2. hey angryrussian26 http://192.168.1.1/webif.html there is an option in der to turn on WEP / WPA on the AP its listed under the SSID OpenWrt, however you need to install some sheet, the fonera basically does it for you tho :)
  3. wow! this is awesome guys, (sorry for the long reply been away from my network for longer than i thought) all the ideas you guys have come up with are awesome! its great to belong to such a wealth of like minded people interested in doing these kinda things, great thing about this sorta "hack" on the psp is that you don't need to have a 1.5 or custom firmware lol its all using the browser (godbless you dijininja) hehe thanks for the ideas and info :) P.S wouldn't be hard to get rid of the refresh issue, don't sure if the PSP supports everything JS has to offer but i sorta remember reading it can do a few simple things in javascript :) ? any takers ? auto refresh page after set amount of time ? Alex.
  4. Hey guys, just have a quick question about teh PSP, i've found a little homebrew app that allows me to scan for AP's (auto refresh :) ) was wondering if anyone has come across a PSP deauthing homebrew app, or is this something specific to the Nintendo DS ? do you think it would be possible to develop one easily ? and would anyone else use it ? I have two PSP's sitting here gathering dust lol i only use them to download rev3 content to watch when not @ my computer. Thanks guys
  5. nice one, digininja i think i might just have to buy one of these on dabs now :D thanks for doing this :) Well Done!

  8. Thanks actually a really good point, i hadn't thought about using it in this way, im guessing this is why der is memory expansion stuff happening :)
  9. cheers for the post m8, i'll have a look at those text's when i get the routers, i've found out its very possible to do it, so im gonna get them anyway ... found a guide on open-wrt wiki also that explains how to get open-wrt onto a dd-wrt enabled fon :P so heres hoping :) thanks again for the info ;) http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Hardwa...601183d0d26d1d8 EDIT: Thought i would add this to help people out ;) DD-WRT To OPEN-WRT :D.
  10. Hey guys, just wanna ask a quick question about flashing a Fon running DD-WRT to OPEN-WRT ? wanna know if anyone has done this before, and if its worth buying 2 fons running DD-WRT :P a tutorial would be good ;)... i found a few threads via google but nothing too great :P thanks guys Alex.
  11. * Under what circumstances do you envision using your F*N on battery power? tbh this is the only option for me, where i live there isnt very many places i can use the fon without battery :) * What run-time (in minutes or hours), before having to re-charge or replace batteries, would you find acceptable for a battery solution? A couple of hours will be fine, as Darren has mentioned, laptop batteries don't last very long anyway, so if its about the same, then its good enough! * If multiple options could be made available (providing different run-times), what additional run-times would you suggest? (i.e. a small pack for short durations, and a big pack for longer situations.) Maybe having both options available would be best, you never know when your gonna wanna be using it for longer periods, i personally will being using 4x AAA batteries and likely have multiple "packs" however smaller is kinda better to conceal what it actual is, not that most people would know that the fon is !! lol * If a battery solution was rechargeable and didn't require replacing batteries, what is the maximum $ you would spend? I've checked around for rechargeable and its about £10.00 for the recharge kit with 4 2400mh batteries here in the UK which i think is rather great, i rememeber paying about double when i was 8 and had a RC car :P ahh the 80's hehe * If it made the battery solution cheaper, would you be willing to modify your FON circuit board ? (Assume this requires only basic soldering skills.) I wouldn't want to modify the circuit board atall, this might very create problems for unbricking in the furture should something happen... * If it made the battery solution last longer (before recharging), would you be willing to modify your FON circuit board i? (Assume this requires only basic soldering skills.) Again, i probably won't touch that, unless its gonna give me a HUGE difference in performane / battery life :) For mine and Haktars, Fon we will be using the battery pack in another case, although this may change, so piggy back will be the best bet for our mod :) ...tbh having it sitting on the desk beside me isn't really an issue here, people here ain't very techie lol Thanks for reading :) Nice post btw ... Alex.
  12. sweeet!!! thanks digininja lol we kinda knew it would be something simple lol
  13. haha! no way, that would be an awesome case! only problem is when me and Haktar wur in the store looking @ toys, we got some strange looks from people lol and the girl that sold us the pumpkin didn't say much, just looked at us weird lol Everything we need came in the mail today, multimeter, battery connectors and the fon so its game on tonight :D ...*looks for dremmel*
  14. even if your router has the Atheros Chipset is don't mean it will work anyway, My Netgear WGT624 has atheros chipset but the OPEN-WRT isn't available just now its a W.I.P at the moment on the wiki :) might wanna check the wiki for your router :)
  15. Thanks Darren, i think it will be here tomorrow, so as soon as it comes thro the door, wur o n it :P, thanks for the comments btw have some pictures in a couple days :D Thanks for reading :)
  16. Hey man i have a place to get a fon in the UK for 55.7350 AUD not sure howmuch shipping would cost tho ?
  17. Hey guys, just thought i would post this to show of me and a friends new project for the fon, we will be hacking it as per the tutorial on the recent few episodes of HAK.5... Waiting on the fon to be delievered tomorrow morning, so we decided to get the "case" (pumkin) for ours, didn't wanna copy with the pineapple hehe hope you guys like the outcome, i'll be posting some images in a few hours!! The case we will be using was purchased @ tesco here in scotland (£5.00) , its actually a automatic bubble machine, with 4 x AA battery pack built in (one of the reasons we picked it) :D and also has a pretty sweet power button on top, which will function :) Thanks for reading! Step 1 Cracking open the pumpkin. WARNING FRUIT LOVERS BEWARE (No Pumpkins wur hurt in this mod...honest) . .. ... Thanks again :)
