well guys, i forgot to tell you earlier, that i have replaced the default router (the one the isp provides) with an smc, i am counting on the fact that these guys are idiots they were supposed to implement the cap last year and still haven't. natting works yeh for natting Ps: will be putting up squid in a few days need time to test

sadly enough the squid sounds like a nice option, but for guys who dont know i'm running an internet cafe, so by using only 7 thin clients i go way over 40 GB in a month (my av logs), i have a total of 20 machines at the moment, and these guys are the only option in terms of isp.... these guys are so messed up that the net keeps dying, .. i heard from "friends" that they have put all the ip's in the same pool ie the 256k clients and the 2Mbit clients have the same bandwidth, WTF, its sad... i guess squid will save me a bit.. thanks... thanks man sorry mate!!

lol, its F**ked up here the national telecoms AT&T for you guys has a sister company, and hence it is actually started to provided internet thus bypassing the normal isp's... however it is the decent enough that they provide us with, they are gonna start capping, and seriously 10Gb for a month is very ant-like small.. ... changing isp's dont actually work! :(

hey, was wondering if ones ISP is capping data ie: to 10GB per month, is there any way to get around this... or is this a very general question!!

it is, trying to get rid of the thin clients. dont like them. the point of my "short story" was to say that you have to come up with a solution to your own problem. because any anti-virus will do your job. PS:Anti -virus's are not foolproof

but still epic game though i hate them for leaving us hanging like that, looking forward to next one

It took a while for kaspersky to come into this topic (i'm a KIS/KAS fan)... but none the less. .. ... as long as Av's are concerned it is up for you to decide, but i would advice you that it should not be the only line of defense..... i'm managing an internet cafe with 11 or so machines,9 thin clients, linux file server etc ... used all the above mentioned AV, but the machines still get infected,, leading the network to be infected decreasing performance.. best solution i could come up with was to run an AV with Deep Freeze (or some kind of program that does the same thing)... reduces hassels
