  1. I had this same problem. I turned on logging in the torrc file and it quickly told me it couldn't create /var/lib/tor. SSH to your pineapple and do this: mkdir /var/lib/tor chown tor:tor /var/lib/tor While you're at it, turn on notification level logging in /etc/tor/torrc as well. This will help you really see when it goes up and down. It can take some time on startup to actually connect to the network. Should then start right up either from the GUI or running /etc/init.d/tor start I am however having a DNS issues. I can't seem to resolve any hostnames. So i can securely ping lots of IP addresses. Any direction on a fix for that would be great.
  2. digininja, I've got the fon connecting as a client, and serving out a signal and i can for example ping google from the fon VIA ssh. Can't get internet via fon client, net is fine on the other network the fon is bridging to. Mind posting all your routes to give me an idea of what i may have missed?
  3. Okay so similar question, no need for a new thread. Could you use the fon with jasager to connect to 1 wireless signal, and still function with karma as it does? So you can basically act as a wireless pass through?
  4. Great guide. I had my fon with SSH enabled and setup for a while, but i had not found any where that told how to get into the redboot config. To add to this exchange putty and winscp with ssh root@ and scp on OSX, the GUI can be replaced with the BSD version of the script offered over at http://download.berlin.freifunk.net/fonera/ and just remember to use en0 as the network adapter and follow it by the 2 files used in the GUI separated by a space. Works great!
