  1. i have wireless network setup at home and recently the connections have been dropping constantly and taking mins to open google.com when not dropping and thats at 92% signal, so i took look at the wifi in the area and found few other signals in the area but more troubling i found three that had my ssid and the mac address would keep switching the broadcasted ssid to the other id's in the area, created fake request for an ssid and sure enough they stared broadcasting an ap with the fake name, so either my signal is being interfered with by jasager or karma devices or there is some deauth packets being broadcasted i haven't looked close enough to see yet basically with my limited knowledge i've windows servers have way to filter MAC addresses in the DHCP server side, and i know routers can filter by mac address, but i haven't found good article on mac filtering on the client side or if this can be done with software firewall all the articles on defense i've found talk about adding the dummy ssid to the prefured list then you know something is up when they come up and to not use them, but this is my home and at distance of 7 feet i have to wait mins to pull up a text based page and at 10 feet i have none stop accuring network or lost signal while the network shows full bars in windows discovery and my wifi card's program shows my network at 92% i have no problem with them doing what they do, i just want to be able to use my own network, but this is just ridiculous! i shouldn't have to be less than 3 feet from wireless router for good signal, and i've tried another wireless router and have multiply wifi cards including an alfa high powered device, same issue with the interferance does anyone know of any software ways to fight back or ignore or refuse connections on client side for windows ? i'd guess i'll have to change all my network devices to A band and hope they don't have dual band devices, but thats going to have to wait couple months before i can afford to replace all the wifi cards and get new router :( at this point i half wish i had good way to attenuate wifi antenna and go fox hunting and tell them to knock it off oh well if anyone has any good ideas i'd be more than open to hearing them
  2. Starcraft 2 my life as darklord : final fantasy crystal chronicles ( screen shots remind me of dominus )
  3. personal if all you want is experance and training, i'd set up a computer for it that is not connected to any outside sorce or any of your normal computers, then get some virus sorce code and complie them and take turns removing them
  4. i have done the Twilight hack on 3.4 menu with no problem, only issue on 3.4 deletes the saved file if you reload the menu just need to go start the game right after copying the hacked save file doesn't work on 4.0 thou if you got homebrew channel on first you can downgrade the menu to 3.2 then do custom upgrade to 4.0 to enable the sdhc without the security updates
  5. make a command bat file with "echo hello world" or some other meaningless command rename explorer.exe so you can start it if you need it replace explorer.exe with your file
  6. ya, sorry about the typo it was late but i did mean bitpim i have seen bluetooth profiles be limited or resticted, plus its possible bluetooth isn't giving you a serial connection are you using a connection program on the computer like p2k or phone tools, or just windows explorer? howard forums has alot of good phone info if your willing to dig threw it
  7. are you using qpst or bipim, also check the pc connection settings on how the phone is internationg with the computer if its giving you serial connection, mass storage, or acting like a modem to the computer, have you tried usb cable connection if you want more access to file system
  8. i belive the cookies + the IP address the connection is coming from is compared by the servers, so say you got a valid cookie with wifizoo from someone conencted to AP other than your own then used that cookie to connect threw your connection with different IP it won't match, after getting the cookies with wifizoo did you switch out monitor mode and conenct to the AP?
  9. i like inside external hard drive case, looks normal with usb and power cable plugged to it, throw a book out so it looks like your studying or working, as for the lamp idea walk in with it in bag like you just bought it and tell em you just bought it for a birthday gift or something and ask if its alright if you plug it in to check it out, if you want leave it there long term do it before a shift change could also use digital clock if you could find one with enought room and put it by a window, you strip out a small boombox they look normal with an antenna sticking out and have room for alot batteries, anyone wants to hear it say it just shorted out little bit ago and frown till they go away, lol, could even plug it in and tell em your just charging the battery up then slide it off to the side portable pop cooler, tell em you have something you dont want to spoil still think i'd go with the backpack, its portable and will not look out place in alot places
  10. I just got my n800 last week and I really like it so far, n770's are fairly reasonable priced, the pic of SILICA I saw was n770 with sticker over the nokia logo personal my take on devices like this is that there will defiantly be a market for it even at 3.6k, I perceive law enforcement getting more and more automated security devices and large company need tools to do quick yet effect security audits, also compare the cost to that of yearly cost of an IT professional all I know is I would enjoy seeing more gui's and security programs for the maemo environment
  11. played it yesterday for little bit before i had to run, nothing fancy but it was enjoyable and i liked it nice to see some fun, non-shoooter, group style games my gf can play, its not on the top of my game list, but i think its a keeper :)
  12. i dont know on the verizon software for the moto Q, but what i have seen on most phones if you pull the info up with QPST you will find they have couple of addresses for the server the data routes threw, the normal data from the phone routes to carriers bread and butter server, and any outside connections from a bluetooth or cables connection routes to modified address to allow them to tell its not from the phone, something like.. v3something.com vs DUN.v3something.com the second address makes a check to see if the tethering feature is on your account and returns pass/fail. basical the different path the phone passes the data threw is the only way they can tell its not oringating from the phone, other than the amount of data being transfered vs calculating the data buffer on the phone :P so edit dun/tethered address for the dial up networking to match the plain one, save and enjoy. FYI - i have also heard/seen people being able to tether with their phone without any changes to it or the proper features, most of the time it was with an older phone, my guess is some of the older software on the phones didn't have second address to flag outside connections to the system P.S. i would expect most carriers have basic rules set in place to monitor for excesive use so keep that in mind
  13. the reason they ask for your carrier is so they can send text to your phone without being charged for the msg, most carriers have email address the phones can recieve msg from phone number @ carriers email address (exp. 1111111111@message.alltel.com) also alot of carriers have a system inplace to send text from their web sites and some let you enter the from number, thou most of these only work with phones on their network edit: also as far as regersting for most services they should have two step reg process step 1 - you send text from phone to them or register on there web site *they send the phone a text with word or phrase to text back to confirm* (normally a generic target word not one genrated just for that phone line :( ) step 2 - send the key word back so theoretically, you could do half the registration from your phone see the keyword and send two msg from that phone number with a suggested 30 second pause between the request and keyword msg *here is a few of the email addressed to get you started* :P phone#@vmobl.com phone#@txt.att.net phone#@txt.att.net phone#@vtext.com phone#@cwemail.com phone#@csouth1.com phone#@gocbw.com phone#@myboostmobile.com phone#@messaging.nextel.com phone#@messaging.sprintpcs.com phone#@tmomail.net phone#@txt.att.net phone#@messaging.sprintpcs.com phone#@message.alltel.com phone#@qwestmp.com phone#@mymetropcs.com phone#mms.mycricket.com phone#@txt.bellmobility.ca phone#@msg.telus.com phone#@pcs.rogers.com phone#@fido.ca
