  1. So I live with my dad in a crappy hotel that literally just got WiFi a few months ago. However, like most public WiFi hot spots, they have the bandwidth limited. So whenever a bunch of people start downloading a bunch of videos or other large files, it will sort of trip the system and shut it down. That is extremely frustrating for me because every time that happens, they have to call the IT staff to come fix it. They are constantly back and forth between 3 different properties, so it doesn't always get reconnected right away. They only have it in the main lobby. I have a couple friends who used to work on the IT staff here, and they told me a way how I could change the bandwidth limitations for my computer only. All I have to do is figure out a password. However, since Rainbow Tables is greek to me, I figured I'd post the info I have here, and let you talented hackers figure it out.

    The IP is:

The Username is (most likely, but not 100% sure):

If anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm not really trying to attack or sabotage the system, I just want to make it less of a hassle for everyone. Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry for asking. I didn't even think about how that would be kinda rude for me to do. You all are really knowledgeable in this field. I am not so much, but I am very fascinated by it, and want to learn more. I realize being lazy and letting someone else do something for me isn't gonna teach me anything. Sorry again about it, I hope you all accept my apology. :( Didn't mean to piss anyone off.

  2. So I'll try to post a couple pictures of this old clock radio I have. I don't want to throw it away, because I'm sure there are tons of cool mods that can be done with it or using it's parts. But I noticed that the display was kind of blinking and making weird characters, instead of numbers, so I can't really use it as a clock anymore, and I already have a stereo. (Even tho I rarely listen to the radio). So if anyone has any suggestions on what I could make with it, please let me know.

  3. Ok so I have a 160 GB My Book External HDD from Western Digital. It's the one seen here:

I have mine sitting on my desk horizontally. Every time I plug it in and see the green ring light up, I keep getting this idea in my head. Would it be possible to mod the ring display so it would light up in a way that represents how much space is being used/free space is on the disk? Kind of like the Xbox 360 with the 4 controller display... but more accurate than just 4 separate 25% spaces. To have it show exactly the percentage of space used/free around the ring. It's kind of hard to explain what I'm thinking of. If anyone can help me out with this, that would be great. I think it is possible, just have to get some creative minds together. Would make for an awesome mod segment for the show! Let me know what you think.

  4. One time I got all 4 red lights in the ring blink, when I unplugged the A/V cable from the back of the 360 when it was still on. Scared the shit out of me so I instantly plugged it back in and everything was fine.

  5. Awesome! Yeah I'm still looking around on eBay and Craigslist for used PSPs (non-slim) with 1.50 firmware. Haven't been to my local GameStop in a while, I'll try to remember to call and ask about one today. This is all well and good, except for the fact of my empty wallet, haha. I should start working in the fall, so it's still a while before I'll actually be able to get my hands on a PSP, but I see that as more time to learn what the hell to do, with your great help! Thanks again.

  6. I'm planning on getting my own PSP, eventually. I doubt I'll be able to buy a used PSP at GameStop that already has it's own custom firmware, although it'd be pretty freakin' sweet. And the only reason I have Vista is because last September when I bought my laptop, I didn't have the time, or money, to custom order it. I needed a computer that I could take with me, so I got a Toshiba Satellite from Office Depot. It's a great computer, haven't had any major problems with Vista yet (knock on wood), but I do plan on building a desktop pc with XP. Thanks for your response, btw. Looking forward to your YouTube vids! ;)

  7. Hey thanks for starting this great topic! A friend of mine has a bigger (original) PSP, with firmware version 4.05. I really would like to learn how to downgrade to a firmware version so I can do some homebrewing. I've watched a couple vids on youtube and in one it said that it's a little harder to do with Windows Vista, which is what I'm running on my laptop. I'm pretty much a noob at modding things like this, however I'm more knowledgeable at this sort of thing than the owner of the PSP. I just want to help out a friend, and gain some know how for the future. Thank you for any help you can bring me.
