  1. I think that although myspace is a plague on the internet, the whole hacking other computers to learn to program is still pretty good and at least wasnt a selfish reason (contrasted to stealing the money, making peoples mortgages go up by 1000s of dollars etc.)
  2. I reckon its a great film although they recognise not all of their techno-jargon is correct. I didnt understand that much of the linux commands etc. but i got the Mac address and IP sniffing parts
  3. anyone know a cheap free c++ compiler? non-.Net as i think C++.net is dif from standard C++
  4. spoken like a pro of dealing with douches... do you work as an IT consultant or a telemarketer?

  7. He tries to burn with the Burn function on windows media player. Thank you for the suggestions except moonlit you seemed to more or less want to punish me for the no google comment. I am not blind i can read in google and when i did search i was given all sites with people asking how to burn cd's on vista and microsoft help sites, none of these helped me. I was asking if any of you had this problem and had solved it as i am finding it hard to. I meant free asin freeware or a way to disable the copyright which i doubt is possible legally so i did not wish to look into. These files are NOT full music files and thus your idea for recording is null, there are only small portions of these songs in the actual files, as i said these are files from a DJ and are mixed. if i didnt mention the mixed part i apologise. I assume Vista searches to-be-burned files for specific parts of songs that are protected to prevent the burning of them, rather than the whole song which can easily be beaten by cutting out parts.
  8. Hey again, I am getting problems on my friends machine when he tries to burn music which has been made for him by a DJ. the music has portions of Michael Jackson songs in them and other bands in which breech some sort of copyright protection scheme between Sony records and microsoft. In any case he is using legal music but is prompted to input a product code to burn a working file to a cd, the portions which are used are from vinyl and are ages old, pre-internet and thus he has no chance of being able to produce set code. Is there a way to get around this? A free alternative would be greatly appreciated, i thought of nero but im not sure if that will work. He is using Vista Home. Thanks in advance. No www.google.com answers please, it is my friend but not for this case, microsoft spam kills me.
  9. I was gonna post my HJT log but its abit long so ill keep it at this. Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\CCPD-LC\symlcsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wscntfy.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Hijackthis\HijackThis.exe there is more than just 3 svc hosts but it dont show up on the log. WTM shows 5 system svchosts, 2 network and 1 local. it is disturbing me alot with that
  10. Given that you know what your doing and don't accidentally kill your system/programs. explorer.exe != iexplore.exe somehow i found that out the hard way.. also on this topic i have 7 svchost.exe and it is annoying as hell dunno if its norton or a bunch of windows xp programs running in background but i lag to hell every time and i dont want to kill off those processes because i know that they are needed, HJT has nothing to say on this matter
  11. HJT, aka hijack this, is a scanner for problems within your computer in simple terms. Google hijack this, install it and run it. it gives an option to scan and save to a log file. Post the .txt file or copy paste into your browser.
