  1. Hi, my name is Bradley. You can call me tallship and yes, I spell that with a lower case 'T', and no, I'm not a sub, I'm a Dom. I'm pleased to make everyone's acquaintance here. I've attached photos of me to this post, and also, one of my buddy Linus - who also provides some great quotables if you ask me... Like "...they are smoking crack", in reference to SCO and used roughly the same way towards others. I like Cheezburgerz. I hate cats, but they seem to like me, and a few have even forced me to let them adopt me. I love dogs. I hate SPAMmerzzz and to them I say, "Go directly to RBLzzzz - do not can haz pass go, do not can haz collect 200 Cheezburgerz. Poo!" I've been doing shit with Linux since 1992, before that I used DOS with Artisoft's server.exe (not ailanbio) and Desqview/X (I got really creative searching for UNIX-like operability on IBM compatible PCs, BSD 4.2, MVS, CP/M, and a few other Mainframe thingies... can't remember all that stuff really. There was a time when I could hold a punch card that had been torn in half by a card reader up to the light and read it off like a book to a keypunch operator so that I could finish loading my programs.... Been doin' this thang since I was 15 years old - like many of you. The difference is, in many cases, that it was much longer ago when I was 15 than when you were 15 ;) - maybe not, but that is the case more often than not nowadays for me. One of the most endearing things that anyone ever said to me was: "Now Bradley, don't you ever forget... we put two men on the moon with 8K of memory." And I never have forgotten that. prolly coz I saw the live coverage of those two guys landing on the moon when I was seven or eight years old, with the voice of Walter Cronkite in the background, detailing every single second of the event. Who's Walter Cronkite? Well, if you don't know that, it's not important - but you should remember that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first two men on the moon, and also, never forget that we put them there with only 8K of RAM - Okay? Well I really don't know where everyone is getting the boilerplated template to post... but I'll cut and paste and here goes, maybe adding a few fields, maybe deleting some, who knows? 2. So how might one easily enter characters in the form of those from the Futhark, I noticed you had input the characters, Elhaz, Berkana, etc., and wanted to know of simple ways without say, holding down left-alt and entering an ASCII code, for example - can you point to applications that can be launched to change keyboard mappings to that of, say, the Futhark, etc., on a quick and temporary basis? Or what methods and resources/links describign methods for inputting special Unicode characters do you prefer/suggest looking into? Thanks!
