  1. Hey all, I'm going to be buying an Aspire one here in the next day or two. I'd like to use it for the basic stuff, but will also be putting BackTrack on it. Am I correct to understand BT prefers Atheros chips? Does the current generation of Apire One's have those? I can't see on the spec sheets other than it saying it has an InviLink chip. Also, I'm looking on Tiger and see a model: LU.S620B.014 and a LU.S620B.011 .. no idea in the differences.. Do you have any? Are those the latest generation or is there a newer one? Here is a link to the "11" http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...p;Sku=A180-8040 Thanks!
  2. I had this happen to me. Are you plugging it in to a router? If so the DHCP on the router is most likely giving the FON a different IP address. As I understand it the FON will only use the IP you assign if no other DHCP server is available. If your router shows what clients are connected to it you can use that to view what the IP might be. Or use an IP scanner and scan the network. Hope that's helpful!
  3. Hello All, I successfully installed Jasager on my 2100 Fon. Thanks for the great write up on that. I am not wondering two things: Can the "Fon Bomb" be setup simultainusly on the same Fon? And is there a write up on how to enable a secured AP on the Fon to allow me to wifi into it and provide a connection that way while still allowing others to connect to it for it's purpose (Like Darren has his setup?) I did a search and found a reference to it that WPA needs to be installed but no further information. Any help would be appreciated as I'm very new to this side of things. Thanks!
  4. Hey all, Excuse the novice question. What is the difference between a pineapple and an interceptor. My understanding of a pineapple is that you connect it to your machine and other computers connect to the internet through you. You can capture the packets and inject from it, right? What's the interceptor doing differently. They both use the Fon, right? I've got one I had from a few years ago untouched its a 2100 and I'm looking to use it. I see the videos for the Pinapple, which episodes show the interceptor? Thanks!
