It has great stuff, I don't mean to start out on these forums asking probably annoying questions but I have one. If you install hacksaw or switchblade on a USB do you have to run it every time you put it in a computer? I mean will it always automatically start collecting the information or can you make it so you have to open a certain file first. Also same question about the antidote. Really I have no use for it except I think its sweet. Valid usage scenarios: You have a bunch machines that are loosely connected via a network. By this I mean there's no central server pushing patches and/or updates down to the client or anything. Say the next service pack just came out and you want to update all the machines. You can put the stuff on a stick, attach it to the machine to update and your install script will take it from there. You've got a number of machines, and it's about time to start updating them again. Problem is, over time you've forgotten the hardware present in a number of them. Write a script that spits out this info, place it on the stick, and use the switchblade functionality to retrieve the specs of each machine so you then have it all in a central location (the stick) and can begin to plan accordingly. Does that confuse anyone else? I tend to think of the US as one of the least metrificated countries. Certainly less so that the UK, where food legally has to be sold in metric measurements (except beer and milk) and all measurements taught in schools are metric (although road measurements are still in miles and yards; in theory we will change to km some time in future to conform with the rest of the EU, I know Ireland did in 2005).
