I have a 120 Down / 15 Up Unlimited Fiber connection in Republic of Ireland (in the coming months this is to be upgraded to a 240 Down / 20 Up Connection) Ideally looking for a US and UK VPN around the same connection speed. I use a few, one of which gives me a presence in a ton of cities around the world, but not sure I'd share my login for them with others. Not to mention, do I want to share my bandwidth for streaming video to a third party? the best bet, sign up for something like a dreamhost account that gives you a shell account included, then use an SSH tunnel to proxy your browser for Netflix or other video services. How do you plan to sign up though, if they don't allow Netflix in your country? Netflix is a paid for service as well. How much do you trust your VPN provider... Its the same situation. Who is to say someome in GoDaddy isn't sitting there watching the traffic go by? Netflix is available in Ireland however not all content is available and its the same in the US, not all content is available there. Finally my VPN is separated from my LAN. digip Posted May 23, 2015 Share Posted May 23, 2015 Not trying to discourage you from looking for alternatives, but using someone elses network probably won't be something many are willing to do. there are free proxy services, but you again will be at the mercy of the proxy and if they sniff your usage, which is why many free ones exist. people often pay for services because they tend to not want to share their network use with others. if you want shared resources, try TOR, but it's shit for speed, and a roll of the dice which country you're going to get in the process, for which it's anonymity purpose it more what people use it for, deep web and hidden services, vs video bandwidth. a paid for VPN or shell account would probably be your safest and most reliable network means.
