Mark V | Wifi Adapter Dropping Out

Recommended Posts

Hey there community, I have a Mark V and the AWUS036NEH wifi adapter. I am using the (WLAN2) adapter to connect to a wireless router to provide internet to the Mark V. Before I wrote this I have searched several times, just to make sure this has not been discussed. I would like to know if there is anyone who has experienced this same issue?

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I was going to make a short video if that would help, but figured I would post this first.

My issue is that I want to use the WLAN1 network which is the (built in) RTL8187 to run Pine AP on while using WLAN2 (External USB AWUS036NEH) to connect to the wireless router for internet access. Well when I use the Client Mode tab in the Network tile to connect to the wireless router WLAN0 connects to the wireless router instead of WLAN2. If I reboot the pineapple the settings stay and WLAN0 will connect to the router which is not what I want.

I have upgraded to the latest firmware and also tried doing factory resets. After a factory reset it will work. I am aware of a command that will remove the interfaces and back them up to their original state, without having to perform a factory reset.

I can try to re-create this issue and post logs. Five minutes ago I just factory reset the pineapple without saving the logs. SMH.

Anyways thanks for any help or resources you can help with.

EDIT: Still having the same issue. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Or can someone try to do the same thing and see if they get the same results.

I am working on a video just in case I am not explaining it correctly.
