JackkTutorials youtube account has been removed . youtube is a big thing when it comes to Tutorials. His worked very hard on setting up and getting alot of views on his youtube channel. He now cant pay his bills as his youtube account was part of his income. so come on guys/girls show your support and sign this petition.

There are other ways to skin a cat, and stating Google is stopping someone from making money, is ridiculous. Expecting a free website to not monitor, remove and control what content it allows on their network is your problem, not Google's. Read their TOS on what they allow, and why they would remove something, in any case, it's at their sole discretion, not ours.

Plenty of "free" (yes, youtube is free) services out there to host videos, and you could get your own domain, let people sign up, and "pay" you for videos you upload to your own domain. If he recorded all these, then he can re-upload to his own site with no issues. Surely if he was making money, they he can afford to put some of that into an investment into his own domain and hosting, which would reap the benefits of more advertising control and revenue avenues. Security Tube has done this many times, offering courses and paid for video tutorials, along with their free side, so I'm going to have to say, no, this person should not seek to have their YT page restored but instead, get their own hosting and roll their own services. Oh wait, they already have their own domain....they can upload videos to their own hosting..

Do you pay to use YouTUBE? I've never paid to view anything on their site, nor to host files. Even my TV gets YouTUBE for free. How do they charge "you" through advertisements? They allow you to monetize your videos, and pay uploaders, but how do they charge the viewer?

What he said was they charge you time through advertisements. I think he means the mandatory 10 seconds of advertisement you get to sit through before watching a youtube video on a machine that doesn't have an adblocker which, I'm sad to say, they still make. Same with those ads you get to see on those same non-adblocking machines at the bottom of the video for some silly product. My ex used to go full-blown mental over that. "Why is that on the screen? Did I *ASK* for that to appear? It's right over the part I was looking at. I was really engrossed in this video and that bloody ad yanked me right out of it!" Silly cow.

It's easy to forget how much our browsing habits (in your case going as far as turning off javascript completely) aid us in not allowing ourselves to be subjected to the constant stream of advertisements. Even my parents, both aged 70+, stopped watching live TV because if they record it they can skip the ad breaks and watch the same thing in half the time resulting in a considerably more enjoyable viewing experience. Me, I don't even record shit anymore. I download and then stream everything. No ads to skip since they're not in the video anymore.

Cool thing about the tv, no ads, since there isn't anything you can click on them from your tv. You used to be able to visit the same tv.youtube.com site from your PC as well, but they block access now and check for if you are a TV vs PC. Tried changing my user-agent to spoof, but they do other checks to block, probably flash and javascript related, since you can't watch youtube with js and plugins off, even for the HTML5 player since not all videos have HTML5 counterparts.

Youtube's been pulling this crap for a while. This is the first i've heard of Jakk's channel getting erased too but i swear i was just watching some of his vids a few days ago. That sux. They did the same thing to R4v3n's channel (another excellent teacher for any1 who doesn't know). It's crazy that the biggest culture most interested and focused on actually learning and enlightening themselves is the most targeted and silenced. I hate how these huge internet companies forget when they were just startup geeks and become corporate monkeys. Youtube and Google wouldn't exist without free speach and people like us wanting to learn more, now they're just politician's who forgot where they came from (along with FB), selling out the people who made them into billionaires.

The worst part about youtube closing channel's is not letting the owner's get their content back. It's unfortunate that it's always the white-hat's getting screwed over because they have nothing to hide and they're trying to teach others to be like them. Would the government rather have people interested in security learning about cracking WEP on youtube, or being forced to learn from forums on darknet where they learn how to be carders and make passports at the same time.

digip, yeah they coulda tried charging for their tuts instead of getting the little ad kickbacks on youtube. But that mentality definitely discourages learning. Youtube WOULD NOT EXIST if it wasn't for people sharing what they learn for free. Whether it be music, plumbing, how to apply makeup..... Not everybody can afford to go to M.I.T if they wanna learn about computers. There isn't an IT professional or sys admin in the world that didn't learn what he knows at least "a little bit" because it's fun to know about the cool "bad" things you can do with hacking. It's like banning people from going to the gym because it makes you stronger than people who don't work out....

Hak5 wouldn't be around right now if Darren was born maybe 5 years later. It's like society started blooming into an age where bright people born without money could still get great educations if they were motivated and willing to put in the time, and now everything's devolving again. I've met alot hackers online throughout my life, I don't know any cyber criminals "that i know of". It's funny when you hear about all these international cyber threats on the news, then you see white-hat's getting kicked off youtube, or even going to jail for doing things like pissing off AT&T or downloading too many law journal's =\ , and all their work from the last 5 years being stolen at youtube's discretion.

The thing is, he has his own domain. There are other video services, or, host it on his own domain. He was embedding the videos from youtube, he could easily do the same with another service or his own site, all he has to do is convert them. HTML5 video works well these days, no need for flash, and he can put ads on his site for anywhere if that was how he was making some side change, which honestly, google ads pay squat, and not enough to live. If he made more than a couple hundred a year on youtube videos, I'd be surprised.
