Mk 3 - Bring it back to life!

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I just pulled my old Mk 1 out of the drawer and fired her up.

BUT I cant remember anything about her config.

Whats the best way of finding out what IP she is using now?

Is there a way of resetting back to 192.168.1.1 (default?)

Thanks in advance.

Gib

Thanks for that, Im having a few issues after the flashing, which went without a hitch, apart from some different params at the last stage:

RedBoot> fconfig
Run script at boot: true
Boot script:
.. fis load -l vmlinux.bin.l7
.. exec
Enter script, terminate with empty line
>> fis load -l vmlinux.bin.l7
>> exec
>>
Boot script timeout (1000ms resolution): 1
Use BOOTP for network configuration: false
Gateway IP address:
Local IP address: 192.168.0.1
Local IP address mask: 255.255.255.0
Default server IP address: 192.168.0.2
Console baud rate: 115200
GDB connection port: 9000
Force console for special debug messages: false
Network debug at boot time: false
Update RedBoot non-volatile configuration - continue (y/n)

My Mk1 seems to be set to 192.168.0.1 as default.

I couldnt change any of the values either, unless Im missing something here.... weird.

Anyway, on restart the box briefly shows 192.168.0.1 to the world, and then is disappears again:

From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=189 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=190 Destination Host Unreachable
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_req=191 ttl=64 time=1506 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_req=192 ttl=64 time=504 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_req=193 ttl=64 time=0.634 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_req=194 ttl=64 time=0.580 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_req=195 ttl=64 time=2.01 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.0.1: icmp_req=196 ttl=64 time=11.4 ms
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=229 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=230 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.0.2 icmp_seq=231 Destination Host Unreachable

And http://192.168.0.1:1471/ is obviously not available either.

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks

G
