Writing a book. Input appreciated!

Wow. It's just all over the place looking at the chapter names. Who is your target audience? What are you trying to tell to whom?

I really, REALLY hope you're planning on using more than that amount of pages for each. I mean, there's a 500+ page book on perl alone out there somewhere, I doubt you can condense it to a single paragraph on an otherwise very populated page.

You could consider a chapter on editors.

At the moment, there is no content in the book, other than the table of contents. So I am not condensing 500+ pages of Perl into 1 page. As I add more content it was span more pages obviously. I just posted the Table of Contents to give you an idea of what will be in it.

Split it up. Into Linux is one, computer security is two.

Combining them is too big a thing.

Chapters 2,3 and 7 should be part of one, 5 can be a 'bonus' intro type thing in one. A teaser if you will. Expand upon it and add the rest to make two.
