Dear members,

I am a new member, but after reading an article about U3 USB I really like this website and that's when I said myself to register here. Now the problem is that I have a question... I hope you guys could help me.

I have a U3 Sandisk USB and I cracked it with the help of hak5.org articles.

What do I want?

- Let an .exe file execute automatically

Yes, it worked for me on Windows XP SP3 Pro, but could you guys tell me if this method works with WINDOWS 7 too?

I just used the method by placing an own .ISO and let it run by autorun.inf...

What do I got in the autorun.inf?

[AutoRun]
open=FILE.exe

Final conclusion:

Will this method work on WINDOWS 7 too?

Regards,

heki

By default the autorun feature in Win7 has been disabled as a security measure. In order to run the .exe you will need to enable the autorun feature on the workstation.

Follow this article:

So it's not possible to bypass this to let it autorun without enabling autorun in windows 7?

One of the way to enable autorun is via local group police, but you will need to be logged onto the machine.

Ok, what my situation is:

I will be logged in a PC, but when people see me that I enable autoplay I will get kicked out.

I only want when I plug in the U3 USB it silent runs the .exe file.

I will be logged in, will there be a way to silent run the .exe file?

Unless you write a batch script that enables the autorun, but you will need to manually run the batch script. But then again, you may get kicked out.
