  2. Hi everyone, I'm the happy owner of a MKV which I use (when I take it out with me) with an Anker Astro E7 USB battery. When I connect the MKV to my home power supply, I'm perfectly able to use my Galaxy S6 as a 4G modem ( using the USB port on the MKV and enabling USB tethering ), but when I'm not home and I try to use the same exact configuration with the battery, the phone simply doesn't detect the USB connection thus doesn't allow me to enable tethering ( basically it's just like the phone's connected to absolutely nothing ). I guess this is due to some power requirements of the phone? Any chance to fix this? I vaguely remember I used tethering with my old phone ( a LG Nexus 5 ) and it worked, so the Galaxy S6 is probably draining more power than the battery is actually able to give? Thanks.
  3. Anyone here got the huawei e5776 usb tethering to work ? I have had some mixed results with writing my own /etc/usb_modeswitch.d/12d1\:1506 and echo '12d1 1506' > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id But neve got to see a ethX show up Regards Thermostaten
  4. Hi, Hopefully this is a quick question with a simple answer from a noob! I am trying to USB tether from my Pineapple to my Galaxy Note 2. Firstly, I can tether using this phone just fine from my PC. It is just that, when I plug the Pineapple into the phone the USB Tether check-box remains greyed out and I'm unable to select it. The second I plug any PC into the phone the USB Tether check-box lights up and off I go. The phone is rooted and unlocked but it is not running any custom firmware, like CyanogenMod etc. Many thanks for your help! Cheers Julian
  5. I have a question. I do not have wifi at home, I use my Tmobile Andriod Phone with unlimited data to go online. I am trying to tether my Andriod phone running, 4.2.2 to my PS3. Now I can tether to my PS3 but I get an Upsell page from Tmobile, and it wont let me connect to PSN. I can turn on tether on my phone, and connect my Andriod tablet, my Wii, and my computer using an Andriod User Agent switcher to go online, and it works great. What I would like to do, is get my PS3 to access the PSN. I have tried some different VPN options, but when I use a VPN on my phone, any device connected to it does not have internet access. The phone works fine, but thats it. I have used VPN on my laptop while tethered to my phone, and it works fine, a litte slow, but it works. Can I create a VPN on my PS3. I also have a WRT54G router running DDWRT, can I use that to somehow get my PS3 to get online. Please any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. I just got the Mark IV pineapple and Im ready to get the road on the show. I followed the instructions in the booklet for "Connecting for the first time" with windows Ethernet testing- I'm running windows 8- but after configuring my home WiFi (internet facing adapter) and the LAN connection (Pineapple Facing Adapter) as illustrated in the booklet I still cant connect to 172.16.42.1/pineapple in my web browser.Whenever i try i just get a php.redirect and whatever page im on just reloads. my WiFi IPv4 and DNS is set to automatically obtain (Image 1) and pineapple settings are in Image 2. What do I need to do to get into the pineapple GUI!? any help would be greatly appreciated. Any additional info you may need just let me know. Image 1 Image 2
