Hello, I just finished a layout for french macbook (which is TOTALY different from standard French keyboard). I have one problem, some important keys ( '[', ']' and '|') need two modifiers to be printed on screen : ALT + SHIFT After many tests with the ducky encoder, its behavior seems to clearly take only one modifier key. Is it a bug, missing feature ? Did you guys found a way to pass this ? Cheers

Hello, Is the female USB connector on the Pineapple Nano supposed to be used to tether (or share internet connection) with? I received my Nano in the mail the other day and nothing happens if I connect an USB to USB-C cable between the Nano and my MBP (Late 2016). However, if I use the Y-cable it does, but my goal is to be able to use the Pineapple 4000 battery to power the Nano and not the other way around. Or is the female USB on the Nano used for something else?

Step One : unpacked my Pineapple Nano Setup Two : Connected to my MacBook Air Initial setup screen says "Please ensure that the WiFi Pineapple is powered according to documentation for a successful firmware flash." Can anyone please point me to the 'Documentation' so that I can start with an RTFM [hoping to avoid a list of dumb questions]? Also - the Download section for Nano Firmware flash only includes Android Linux Windows so If I don't want to use my Macbook Air [forums seem to indicate it's more complicated - and I may not want to mess up my work laptop] does anyone have a recommendation between Android, Linux or Windows for a machine to use with my Pineapple Nano ? Should I figure out how to build a Kali Linux laptop ? [that would bee an other month long learning curve right ???]

Hello to everyone on this forum, This will be my first post so I apologise in advance if there are some good form rules that I have missed. Here is my issue: I have just received the Tetra and it connects just fine to my Mac (I'm running 10.9.5 but had to install the driver). Once I access http://172.16.42.1:1471I get the upgrade page and choose the bin and run it. I figure since I just received the Tetra that it must be flashed with the latest software so I get the page that asks me to wait until I get the follow up screen or refresh and that's where the page auto-refreshes to the upgrade page. Every time. Thats where I'm stuck so please any help/suggestions appreciated. Thank you. Pilgrim.

Basically, I have successful set up the wifi pineapple nano and connected to my macbook pro. However, once the connection is made, I am unable to aces the internet from my macbook. Does anyone know how I can fix this or what the correct setup is for a mac? WifiPineapple Nano Version 1.0.1 Macbook Pro with OSX 10.11.14

First things first - I have already gone through a bunch of posts on this forum but none of them have been helpful to solve the specific problem that I am having so any help here is greatly appreciated. My setup is something like this: MK5 Kali Linux installed on Virtual Box sitting on Mac OSX 10.9.4 The network settings of the Kali Linux Virtualbox is set to "NAT". So, when I type in ifconfig inside Kali, I see just 2 interfaces: eth0 with an IP address of 10.0.2.15 lo with an IP address of 127.0.0.1 On my macbook, I have a bunch of interfaces. The important ones are listed below: en0 with an IP address of 172.16.42.210 - This is the ethernet interface connected to the MK5. en1 with an IP address of 192.168.1.3 - This is the wifi interface connected to my router Straight out of the box, I was able to successfully connect to MK5 via ethernet and fire it up. No problems there. I could reach to it from the macbook as well as Kali. After starting it up, I noticed there was no internet access on the MK5. So, I read some posts and figured that MK5 has 2 wlans now. So, I enabled Wlan1 from the portal, navigated to Client Mode. Scanned for my router's SSID and connected to it. I now had internet access on my MK5 so I upgraded the firmware, installed infusions, etc. I also had internet access on any other device connected to my MK5 via MK5's broadcasted SSID at Wlan0. So, everything till now looks good. I have my MK5 setup and running with internet access. I can connect any device to MK5 and have internet access to it. I can access Mk5's portal from both my Macbook and Kali. I can also run infusions like tcpdump, sslstrip, etc. on the Mk5 itself. So, on one hand I have my Macbook and Kali connected to the router and on the other hand, I have my MK5 connected to the router as well. And, I am able to access Mk5 from my Macbook/Kali via the ethernet port. However, the above setup is not something I want because all traffic sent to MK5 is automatically sent to the internet via the router because Wlan1 is enabled on Mk5. What I want is: Wlan1 be disabled so that only Wlan0 is open on the Mk5 broadcsting its SSID. All the traffic sent to the MK5 should be routed via Kali on my Macbook and then onwards to the router so that I can run tools on Kali and capture the traffic. I understand this means I will be sharing my internet from the wifi port of my macbook onto the ethernet port for the Mk5 to connect. But, I have read that the ICS on macbook should not be enabled because it changes the IP address? So, how do I get this working when the Wlan1 is disabled on the Mk5 and ICS is turned off on Macbook? Also, since i really want to be doing all this on the Kali VM rather than the Macbook, I downloaded the wp5.sh script from wifipineapple.com and ran it on the Kali VM. Pineapple Netmask: 255.255.255.0 Pineapple Network: 172.16.42.0/24 Interface between PC and Pineapple: eth0 ----> not sure what this should be since I'm on the Kali VM? Interface between PC and Internet: wlan0 ----> I only see eth0 and l0 listed on Kali so what value should I enter here? en1 of macbook? Internet Gateway: 10.0.2.2 IP Address of Host PC: 172.16.42.210 IP Address of Pineapple: 172.16.42.1 I am not sure the above values are correct or if the scenario I describe here is even possible? Hello, I recently relieved my Wifi Pineapple mark V and connected it it worked and started to install and boot up. my power went out while doing so and now I cant access my pineapple at all on the browser even though I was able to before. I reset it with the dip switches and now it show that its ready to install the updates on the pineapple but I cant access it through the browser. I have a mark V and a 2012 macbook pro (running mavricks)/ pc windows 8.1 Please help! Thank you

I am looking for an ultrabook to be my little portable hackbook. I will most likely run Kali on whatever I get. Does anyone have an opinion on which of these ultrabooks is better or any suggestions that are cheaper? I am currently using a Macbook Pro/15"/mid-2012/i7/16GB RAM/500GB HDD. The only problem is that it is a bit hefty to be a little portable hackbook. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Edit: I would like one with as much RAM as possible becuase I will be running several VMs as well for playing with malware.

Hi Guys, I'm seeking help and would like to have a discussion about booting Linux on Apple hardware using an EFI boot loader. Probably not going to be a popular suggestion considering one of your sponsors is System76 but I thought I'd give it a try regardless. I came across a great tool called "Mac Linux USB Loader" which is still under heavy development. "I actually have an early 2008 MacBook Pro which also fails to boot Linux. I test the bootable drives my tool creates on a newer, separate machine. I believe with 90% certainty that the reason for this problem is the lack of Linux kernel mode setting (KMS) support in Apple's EFI firmware, which is required for nVidia video drivers to function properly. Disabling KMS in the boot options of most distros actually causes the splash screen to show up, but then X (the graphical windowing system used to provide a desktop) can't start because KMS is disabled, and so you are dropped into the terminal with a bash shell. If you like command line Ubuntu, this is fine, you can just connect to the web via Ethernet (and even install WiFi drivers) and go, but for 90% of us, this is an inadequate solution." Hello all, Great Forum you have here. I am just getting started pen testing my own system and one where i work in IT. My current laptop is a macbook air 5,2 and i have managed to get it to dual boot between mac OSX and Ubuntu. Glad i have it working but don't know if it's ideal. I am ordering some toys from the website here, namely the pineapple and the alpha wireless. Which would be a more useful tool to operate and do pen testing with this hardware (macbook air, pineapple and alpha). Just OSX that comes with the macbook and install mac versions of wireshark, ssh, etc.. install something like backtrack linux in a virtual machine with VirtualBox, Or use a dual boot system? i suppose if i have access to the pineapple via ssh, and the web interface, it doesn't much matter whether i use OSX terminals or linux terminals. But for the alpha, i am not sure the best route. Linux on the macbook air seems to use battery twice as fast, not so bad, but still, the dual boot issue. A VM would be easier if i am usually in OSX, however, i don't know how to give the VM linux proper control of the hardware (alpha) to run the cool pen testing apps like the cool kids here do. i have a lot more experience with Linux (IT for 7 years) than i do with OSX, but OSX does seem to be pretty familiar in the shell, and runs nice on the laptop. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
