  2. There's not enough hardware projects in here, so let's change that! Whether it's putting a Pineapple in a rugged case and setting it up on a roof, modifying/building a drone, custom PCBs/badges, robotics, 3d printing project, or even if you've just spent the weekend tidying up your server rack/network closet and you're proud of it, let's see what you're working on!
  3. I went to boot up my computer this morning and it began trying to start but then couldn't and then shuts back off, followed immediately but trying to boot again. It repeats this process endlessly if I don't cut the power. I'm pretty sure its a motherboard issue and i plan on disconnecting and reconnecting essentially everything and giving the internals a good cleaning with a can of air tomorrow. I really just want a second opinion on the situation from people that are more experienced with this sort of stuff than I am. I have a 30 second video of what's happening via mega upload if you like, thanks in advance! https://mega.nz/#!RPBSgYxb!1RYQsVPR-P2mjk_spCN4oRWraaDF6m51xuGyt8k76tk
  4. I'm interested in the ability to make hardware and apply the desired software to it, whether it be home code or open-source. Does any one have resources that they themselves have used to obtain this skill? I will be posting my progress in this thread even if there are no replies.
  5. I want to know what is in your bag when you go out to do some engagement. Devices(Hardware, OS) I'm trying to decided what kind of hardware to carry with me.
  6. I am a complete noob when it comes to hardware but I would love to start vulnerability testing pieces of hardware to learn more. I have a tenvis IP camera and was wondering where you guys would suggest me to start researching or where to start?
  7. Hi all, is there any documentation regarding the dip switch position? In which positions can I ssh, for instance? Thanks in advance Gabriel
  8. Hello, I've been playing with a small circuit for my Bunny... I've put three USB connectors on a small board, 1 for the Bunny, 1 for the Target PC, and a switched one for a small battery bank (I use a cylinder type). I have just run power from the battery bank connector to the Bunny and did not hook up power from the Target at all. With this setup, I can run attacks on USB 2 only devices; and, more importantly pre-boot the Bunny before the attack... Flip switch, wait for Bunny to boot, then plug into Target... I don't use the Bunny for keyboard injection, btw - I still prefer my Rubber Ducky for that. This kind of setup could easily be added to the base Bunny, or as an alternative hardware version - with a single usb jack on the back to accept the battery bank connector. A more sophisticated circuit could be setup to detect if power was available at the Target and allow the battery bank to be removed. Pre-boot Bunny, plug into Target, pull and palm battery. The only complication is that it would be a lot of torque on the Bunny's main connector if the battery had to be left connected for a USB 2 Target...
  9. I'm trying to mod a sim based hotspot. I want to take the reuter which is somewhat fragile and not at all impervious to the elements and place it in a rugged waterproof case eg a pelican case with a larger antenna eg 35 dbi antenna, a large battery bank eg 20000mAh and a small solar array to charge the battery during the daytime. The goal is to have as simple a main interface as possible eg a single toggle switch which allows the reuter to broadcast 802.11 wifi while the battery is on and being charged by the solar panel. The help I need is in sourcing the parts (excluding the reuter which I have and the antenna) and designing the circuitry necessary to create a fuctioning version of this idea. Please dont hesitate to reply
  10. Hello there guys! nice to see you! Just wanted to know about the power of python from you leets, im a beginner! trying to learn new things of python can you please tell me what are the things could be done with python?? Can I use python for IoT devices? is it gonna help me only in scripting ?
  11. Hello there! Anybody know about Warberry Pi ? I have a link which will take you to the code of it, but I don't have an exact idea about its technology and other stuff, and my question is what is the hardware required to use this? or only these scripts would work? Here's the link! https://github.com/secgroundzero/warberry
  12. Hello Everyone!!! I'm a student who loves hardware. I work with it a lot and I'm very good at making my custom devices. I have just ordered the PCBs for my latest design. It is the first prototype of a computer meant only for math. This board isn't very powerful and is a little more than a square inch, but I'm hoping in the future it will be very capable. On the square inch there are four low level processors. I have three of them coming and they should work well. I need someone to help me as I want to use these devices to crack mathematical passwords and encrypted data and I have little skill in software. Would anyone like to help? This could either be a huge failure or a resounding success. Either way I hope to publish all my findings and whoever helps loses nothing but maybe a little of their time. Please reply to the thread or PM me if interested.
  13. Hi all, I have a Raspberry Pi 3 with an Alfa AWUS036H with 7dBi directional antenna set up in a vehicle. I'm wondering what the best method of controlling the Pi in a (not very roomy) vehicle would be? I've considered; A Chromebook, chrooted and connected via SSH or Ethernet cable (a little too bulky, as I can't easily put a laptop on my lap in the vehicle) A small dashboard monitor and bluetooth keyboard A Raspberry Pi Touchscreen A keyboard/case combo thing like this Some way of connecting an Android phone to it What would you go for and why?
  14. Linux is by far my favorite operating system, the more I use it the more I dislike windows. I want to switch all my computers over to Linux, but I am also a PC gamer. I could dual boot but restarting just to play a game is a hassle. I've heard about some virtualization tech that allows for hardware pass through. However every article I've read requires more than one monitor, which is fine for my desktop, but I want to do it on my laptop as well. My question is this, is it possible to run a virtual guest that can use my nvidia graphics card, but doesn't require separate monitors for guest and host?
  15. i was wondering if these are possible serial headers. I'm trying to hopefully get a shell from this. and how would i communicate with these do i use any TTL adapter are does it have to be specific. also what it an easy way to identify the headers TX,RX,VCC,GND...? I'm a beginner so please give me some tips. Images: Device: NetComm NB6Plus4Wn I'm a beginner at this so please give me some tips too. :)
  16. I have troubles operating my MKV. I cannot log in to the device. When I start all leds are lit, then first yellow and shortly after the red turn off and the blue starts blinking. After one or two minutes the blue goes off, red and yellow light up, yellow turns off and red keeps on for a few seconds, and then red goes out and were back where only green is burning and blue blinking. I have a video but wasn't allowed to upload it... I have no opportunity of getting in to the device. Checked all jumpers and they are all up, but connecting tot the 172.16.42.42:1471 gives no solution. My best guess was to reflash the device. After a few tries I finally got into the device and could upload the factory.bin file. Followed the instructions and rebooted the device. Situation is still the same. See led sequence as mentioned before and no way off getting in the device on 172.16.42.1:1471 Anyone an idea ? Kind regards, Maarten
  17. Would it be possible with a hybrid Intel/Nvidia GTX870M video card to have Linux isolated to the Intel video card and Windows use the Nvidia card...one the same monitor? I've seen a similar setup with a the Nvidia going to a external monitor using PCI passthrough in the VM (GTX870M seems to allow passthrough if it's tricked that it's not a virtual OS) The idea would let switching to the VM on a seperate workspace for games and also play with linux on the other workspace, also if 8.1 gets infected, I can load a snapshot vs. lossing my entire laptop; and help protect the BIOS and hardrive. Specs: MSI GT70 2PC VT-d enabled I7-4800 32 GB Ram KVM with Virtual Machine Manager Nividia GeForce GTX870M 3gb vram
  18. I have seen a few things people have made with old hard drives? Tesla turbines being among the coolest. Lately I've been getting into locks and whatnot and I thought it might be cool to make a wheel pack for a combination lock from some hard drive platters. What are you doing wit your had old hard drives?
  19. I know there are sites like instructables or hackaday, but maybe some of you have ideas for possible hardware hacks. Stuff already re-purposed: - mainboards -> desoldered serial, parallel port and other useful parts - badly crimped ethernet cable -> Used the good plug to build a small loopback cable Stuff I need your ideas: - PCMCIA Sierra Wireless GPRS & GSM AirCard 750 - ISDN phone ascom Eurit 30 - PCMCIA WP221P Wireless Lan 802.11b cards - PCMCIA 56k Fax-Modem V.90 cards - PCMCIA Ultron UF 300 3 port Firewire card - D-Link DI-524 802.11g Wireless router - Longshine Ethernet Switch 8 Port LCS FS6168B - bunch of old RAM, cables (VGA, Parallel printer, ide, ps/2 extensions, ps/2 mouse/keyboard combi), cd drives, pci 10/100 mbit ethernet cards
  20. Ok, when the duck is in it's case, you can't see the LED - meh. Anyway - does anyone know how to add another one? Is it possible to attach one to the connections at the bottom of the duck? Thanks.
  21. Hi, in order to resolve the slooooow hardware issue using karma and sslstrip, I ordered and already received the USB ALFA which works very well (Thanks Darren). How ever - when using the box for that scenario, there is no need to have both hardware antennas of wlan0 and wlan1 attached to the MARK V. It may sound stupid, but ... is the antenna near the sd card slot wlan0 oder wlan1 - I don't see any identification??? Cheers, Toby
  22. So I wanted to compose a list of all of the great hacking hardware that is out there! - Usb Rubber Ducky - Wifi pineapple mark V ( all the Hak5 stuff ) - Reaver pro - ProxMark - Pwnphone - Pwnpad - Ubertooth Feel free to add to my list with anything I didn't think of or haven't heard about!
  23. Is the Mark V hardware open source? Is a schematic available? Would be helpful for developing hardware to connect to the breakout pins.
  24. I'v been thinking about getting a desktop for awhile would love to play some good pc game's and be able to run a few virtual machine's for testing on but don't really know much about hardware and compatibility stuff also I need to try do it as cheap as possible under €800 if that's possible. What would you guy's suggest and where do you think I should get it from?
  25. Over the past ~48 hours I've been trying to get my pineapple to work. I seem to be having a very unusual (read: undocumented) error with this device, with the symptoms below: - Firstly, it tends to boot into what I have termed 'derp mode' where it gets stuck in a boot loop. This is usually characterized by solid green and faint-ish blue and VERY faint red LEDs. - Secondly, I have managed to get the device to boot/operate for a limited time (more detail later). - I noticed that it would enter derp mode if I rebooted it (i.e. power cycled) immediately. If I let it wait for ~5-10 minutes, it would actually run through the boot cycle. Now for a brief description of Derp Mode: - The device will not enter any form of boot cycle, just the immediate aformentioned LEDs. To me this indicates that the kernel isn't even getting hooked by the bootloader, if the bootloader (I assume RedBoot) is even getting loaded. - Derp mode will hold indefinitely, and has done so for several hours. During this time, it will not change state in any way. - As previously mentioned, rebooting immediately will not alleviate this problem in any way. Last night, the problem was somewhat mitigated by keeping the device cool (it's not getting especially warm). This allowed a successful unbricking and boot. The device works perfectly when cooled, however, this is not a practical use for it. As I am sure many people will offer the obligatory 'RTFM' comment, here is a concise list of common fixed that have been applied: - Standard factory reset - Standard (web facing) un-bricking (reflashing) - Power supply testing - Serial console debugging In summary: The device does work when exposed to colder temperatures; All normal operations function well in this state. To me, this indicates a potential manufacturing fault within the hardware. I will be contacting HakShop shortly regarding this, however, I am curious if anybody else has had a similar issue. I would really like to take the device apart and have a look at it, and maybe test it in the lab to try and get to the root of the problem, however, I do not wish to do so before getting in contact with the HakShop staff. Let me know what you think.
