  1. Hello, I just got my RubberDucky. I rolled through the hello world example. It worked. After that I attempted to load, "YouveBeenUglyRolled By petertfm" on the ducky. I removed the hello world txt file first then loaded the YouveBeen.....txt file and the Ducky would when reimplemented would execute the hello world.txt file that was no longer on the SD card so.... I got frustrated and tried a few and accidentally deleted my inject.bin file. Now my ducky is dead in the water. Where can I get a copy of the inject.bin file? Please advise.
  2. So to make a long story short, there were some scheduling problems at school, and I'm forced to take Programmming II at a different university. The university I normall go to teaches Java, which I took a single semester of. The other university where I'm taking my second class teaches C#. tl;dr I have six days to do learn a semesters worth of C#, and I currently know the very basics of Java. I have to learn the first seven chapters of a book which I don't have. I'll be following thenewboston's tutorials over C#, as they have previously helped in Java. What I need to learn: I'm not sure if I'll be able to do this, so I figured I keep a log of my progress. (Helps me stay on track, even though that might seem counter-intuitive.) So far I have just finished the 10th video of these series, so I'll go ahead and try to upload it to Github, (Never used Github before...) https://github.com/FallenArchangel/Learning I'm open to any criticism. I'm kinda in a rush, so any advice is welcome.
  3. Okay... I have been following Hak5 and its community/forums for a couple months now I really want to get into wifi hacking and using hardware like the turtle shell and using ssh and what not, but I feel like all the tutorials are a little to advance for me to do. Is there anywhere else I can go to start from not having any prior knowledge ? ( No script kitty stuff )
  4. So i just got the Ducky about 2 days ago. I know that i'm compliing everything correctly. The problem is that i have to press the button for it to run the program. once i press the button it works beautifully. I'm not sure why this is. could it be a firmware problem. Is it related to the pulsating blue light? If any anyone has any idea it would be great to hear some possible solutions.
  5. Hello there fellow hackers/netizens I have installed Kali Linux on Virtual Box on Windows and it's running fine. I'd like to learn more about hacking and how I can protect myself from such attacks. So to start with, I've loaded a pdf with a meterpreter reverse tcp payload on metasploit and the target has downloaded it and opened the file. How do I know if meterpreter is running in the target computer ? Is there anything I have to do on my end to start the installation ? And I can't seem to get the meterpreter> prompt no matter what I do on the terminal. Need beginner's level help if any of you have to know-how and are willing to guide me. Many Thanks in advance
  6. Alright, so I decided to write up a short intro to RF. Its got the basics of electromagnetic waves, including definitions like wavelenght, frequency and so on. It goes on to describe a few basic digital modulation techniques, how they work and what they're used for. Finally, it goes on about sampling and why we need I/Q sampling and what it actually is. Hope its helpful to someone out there! http://www.mediafire.com/view/yza84fmazflonl0/rf.pdf I quite like writing up tutorials, so if anyone's got any other ideas or requests they'd like in a tutorial like this, comment what you think! It can be more technical, practical or even theoretical if people prefer! Let me know what you all think!
  7. Hey, I am new to Hak5 and I know some stuff about computers, but some of the Hak5 episodes are a little over my head. Where should I begin? Thanks. -OmegaKrypto
  8. Well, I haven't browsed enough to know if there is an introduction forum, but I'll go ahead and say hello here in my first post. My name is John, but I go by d1sc1ple01, obviously. I am a pretty big CS fan, and I'm getting into a decent amount of programming. I had a course on python, then c++, and now I'm teaching myself php and html5 on the side. However, like most people, hacking has always been super intriguing to me. My buddy showed me how to crack some windows passwords with bt5r3 and then we both learned how to crack wep and wpa2 wifi together. Since then, i've wanted to do more but havent had the resources. For xmas, I bought a pineapple mark iv and the reaver bundle with the alfa wifi adapter. I am of the opinion that: "the only stupid question is one you don't google first." So, I have been googling and researching a lot but these questions either can't be found or are better suited for a personal response. tl;dr - Hey! I'm new! Here's some questions: 1. Do you have any advice for how to learn any of the following more quickly than just googling and reading? an understanding of linux, a broad understanding of the tools in backtrack, how to utilize the pineapple 2. I only recently became interested in these topics, so I haven't seen many hak5 episodes. Is there a list of hak5 episodes that contain information and/or tutorials about uses for the pineapple and/or a usb wifi/adapter? 3. Do you have any general advice in regards to this field of study? 4. What other forums should I be on? Thanks for any and all information.
