  1. Hey Hak5 community, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring up a critical issue regarding the use of the Rubber Ducky with the latest hardware version. It has come to my/our(I dont want to speak for others) attention that using the old firmwares on the new Rubber Ducky can lead to bricking the device. Considering the potential risks involved, I'd like to suggest that the Hak5 team releases a new firmware version along with an updated firmware flasher specifically designed for the new hardware. This will not only address the existing issue but also ensure a smooth and secure user experience. I understand that the Hak5 team is always working hard to improve and enhance the tools we all love, and your attention to this matter is highly appreciated. So if you have time please do it. Also share your thoughts and experiences on this topic, and let's collaborate to make the Rubber Ducky experience as seamless as possible for everyone. Looking forward to hearing from the community and the Hak5 team. Best regards, A User
  2. So I have been working on a script (admittedly for a while, this is my first script) to grab wifi names and passwords off computers and dump them to a text files. So fair I have it working great, it grabs every wireless Internet connection that the computer has ever made and it dumps it straight back to usb within seconds, to grab and go. I just need help with one thing... How to hide the powershell window and is there anyway of making this script better (I already know i can use powershell to sent txt files to servers or through email i just think its easier with such a simple script to dump it straight back to usb)? Here is the Script
  3. Introducing the latest Composite Firmware - Codename : The Twin Duck The Ducky primarily acts as a USB Mass Storage Device, and on a click of the button will start emulating a Keyboard. Its multi-OS, multi-lingual and comes in three flavours: c_duck_v2.hex - Supports DuckyScript as HID payload, triggered automatically and on GPIO (limited instructions) c_duck_v2_S001.hex - Triggered on CAPS/NUM/SCROLL LOCK c_duck_v2_S002.hex - Triggered on Ducky's GPIO only! Depending on your circumstances, you may want to use either one of these available firmwares. Downloads http://code.google.c.../downloads/list Please test and post feedback here. Snake
  4. Hello, I bought usb from Hak5 shop and can make it run the inject.bin as expected. Just it does not appear as flash drive. How can I make it both run the inject.bin and appear as flash drive so that user thinks that it is a normal thumb drive and does not know it acts like keyboard ? Best Regards, An

Yesterday I tried to reset to default firmware but I cant put it on DFU mode, no led ligths turn on, nothing happens when I plugin it. Thanks :'(

  7. hey guys so any time i try to use my usb wifi network card in the vm on parrot or kali they both wont connect to it. what am i doing wrong here? thank you all for your help in advance
  8. Hey everyone, does anybody know, if i can use this usb-wifi as a third radio for my Nano? => https://www.amazon.de/AVM-FRITZ-WLAN-Stick-Mbit/dp/B000X27VAW
  9. Recently installed Kali to my RPi3, and also to a USB drive for use on my Ubuntu16/Win10 laptop. Today I tried to make the Kali USB drive 'persistent,' and I thought maybe some people even more newbie than me might be interested in hearing what i had to do to make it work. Following the instructions blindly doesn't always work: (1) Creating the USB drive, no problem: https://docs.kali.org/downloading/kali-linux-live-usb-install However i had to do it using Win32 Disk Imager, because when i used the 'dd' method (from Ubuntu16 in a VirtualBox) it ran all night and still hadn't finished. So, Win32 imager. (2) Then on to make the Kali installation have 'persistence' so it would save settings and be able to save downloaded applications and scripts: https://docs.kali.org/downloading/kali-linux-live-usb-persistence ... which is where i began to have some problems. Under Step 1. i wasn't getting the prescribed sdb1 and sdb2. I had 3 sdb drives already. So i went back and repeated the Win32 Disk Imager process, and then doing fdisk -l on the usb drive, in a Ubuntu16 machine, showed me sdb1 and sdb2. ... Step 2. went well, in my case it was kali-linux-2018.1-i386.iso and i executed each line in Step 2 separately, waiting for each process to finish. ... Step 3. again execute each line separately and wait for each one to finish before going on to the next. ... Step 4. is where i was baffled; i wasn't getting persistence on re-boot. It turns out the directory wasn't being created, nor was the persistence.conf file. I had to go to /mnt, create the directory, cd to it, create persistence.conf and enter the ' / union ' and save it. Then unmount. I think that is all i had to do. Create a dummy text file in my home directory, save it, re-boot into Kali Persistent mode, and voila i had persistence. ... To experienced users, this all must seem silly, but six months ago i would have been totally baffled by the instructions "not working." Even newer newbies may find this hair-pulling today useful. ... THEN: (3) Why wouldn't my command-line rtl-sdr WBFM script work? rtl_fm -f 93.3e6 -M wbfm -s 200000 -r 48k - | aplay -r 48000 -f S16_LE First, of course, sudo apt-get rtl-sdr. But my one-liner wouldn't put out because my Kali didn't have aplay. So: sudo apt-get install alsa-utils, then the script would run. Almost. This version of aplay didn't like ' -r 48k ' so i had to change that to ' -r 48000 '. Then i got my FM station. Audio quality poor, so i will have to tweak that script on Kali. On Ubuntu16 i think it sounded just fine. So that was my day today. NEXT: installing rfcat on my Pentoo USB stick. I haven't a clue, yet. I did figure out that 'sudo apt-get install' gets replaced by 'sudo emerge --ask' but it doesn't find rfcat anywhere out there. I'm probably doing something wrong? ... Cheers.
  10. I'm looking for the best dual band usb device for kali. I want to do packet injection. I found a list of usb wifi kali devices here , here is the list: * Alfa AWUS036ACH * Tp-link T4UHP AC1300 Do you know more devices? are those the best ones? I don't want to pay more than 60usd-70usd
  11. I was wondering how I would be able to connect my SATA disk via USB. I've been looking at the pinouts for both USB and SATA, and I saw that USB has only two data pins, but SATA has four of them. How would I go about connecting them together, leaving power alone for now... Would I have to connect it via two USB connectors or can I just connect two of the data pins together, so I only have two? Thanks!
  12. Hi, I got a teensy 2++ and i use it as bad usb, by plugging it with the usb connector, the question is: Can i put the 5 usb wires on the teensy pins and make it work by connecting directly to them ? (I'm a little newbie in electronic ..)
  13. Hey there Hak5 community and fellow Rubber Ducky users! I'm a MacOS user and a beginner when it comes to coding, but I came up with a little bash script to help speed up the encoding process. It's nothing fancy. When I was writing a payload and having to encode then replace the file on the microSD and all that - it was getting a bit tedious. I call it duck_it. It basically takes your scripts as .txt files, encodes them, and transfers them to your microSD card and ejects the card. https://github.com/dot-iso/duck_it I'm new to Bash and GitHub, so there may be some n00b stuff. I'm sure there's a lot of room for improvement
  14. Hi there, Can I use teensy 2++ to use BadUSB exploit like a rubber ducky ?

  16. Hello together, i found a way to mount at the newest Firmware a USB-Stick from the Wifi-pineapple Nano I have a SanDisk USB-Stick with 32GB of Memory at the first time i plug the stick in it dosent work but if i do in the coomand line via SSH type his "fdisk -l" i saw the usb stick but i wasnt able to mount it so i was loocking for "dsmesg" an saw at the end was written " 2366.110000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Write cache: disabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA " i dont really know what that means but i was then loocking in google for "opkg usb driver" and then i found this https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/usb.essentials so i was just do all stuff just updating it with ignoring errors and after that i was chaneging the fstab file to: config 'global' option anon_swap '0' option anon_mount '0' option auto_swap '1' option auto_mount '1' option delay_root '5' option check_fs '0' config 'mount' option target '/sd' option device '/dev/sdb/' option fstype 'auto' option options 'rw,sync' option enabled '1' and you have to format to ext4 your stick via ssh or on your Webinterface. after that you just need to refresh the page and i saw then a drive "/dev/sdb" and there it is !!! MY USB Stick ! i hope i was helping there some guys. And a really sorry for my bad english :( Greets from Germany Nico!
  17. Hi all, I have successfully run Kali from a persistent USB and SD card on a Chromebook in the past, however I unfortunately didn't take down how I did it. Silly me! I have enabled Developer Mode and run; crossystem dev_boot_usb=1 dev_boot_legacy=1 dev_boot_signed_only=0 sudo chromeos-firmwareupdate --mode=todev All completed without error. However, on loading my Chromebook and pressing CTRL+U, it fails to boot from USB or SD. I just get a low-frequency beep. On pressing CTRL+L, it also fails to read any SD or USB and I get 2 high-frequency beeps. I'm at a loose end, as searching around the net only yields the above. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers.
  18. I just wanted to know if there is any documentation on setting up the Pineapple with the provided USB dongle that comes with the Tactical Elite. I have only been able to configure it with the provided Y-USB cable. I am attempting to configure with the battery pack and dongle provided. Thank you in advance for your help.
  19. Hey guys I'm new to the USB rubber ducky and have some questions. I want to try and make some payloads for chromebooks due to their wide use everywhere. Will that work? The password stealing payload was cool but it doesn't work due to the chrome update. I have a work around but it takes a little longer, involves going to chrome web store, installing "show password" extension, showing password, copying it, etc. Is that even possible to do with the USB rubber ducky? Where do I start? Thanks
  20. I cannot connect to my new Tetra via USB whatsoever (it does not show up as a USB network adapter or at all). It does not power itself from solely USB, either. I can only connect via wireless (which is spotty at best). The AP will not always let me connect, and frequently drops me for reasons I do not understand. Running 1.1.2 firmware.
  21. So I was reading around and I read that you should use a powered USB hub for the Wifi Pineapple. However, the post I found was in 2012 so I am unsure if this is still needed. I would like to know if I should get a powered USB Hub, or if it even matters with the Wifi Pineapple Nano. If I should, would the item from Amazon okay? Link to 2012 Post: https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/27549-usb-hub-powered-by-wifi-pineapple/ Link to product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0192LPK5M/ref=psdc_281413_t2_B00DQFGH80
  22. I have successfully booted Kali on my surface pro 4 using USB. there's only one problem, my keyboard isn't responsive. Is there anyway this problem can be fixed?
  23. How to make a USB hacking tool? how to hack into systems with a usb just by inserting and creating a backdoor of it?
  24. when i plug my USB rubber ducky into the USB slot and push the black button the ducky opens a command prompt and types: or /f % in ('wmic volume get driveletter^, label ^| findstr "DUCKY"') do set myd=%d %myd%/duck The USB even types that if i don't have any SD card in the slot. i am running firmware c_duck_us.hex because that is the only one that actually acts like a keyboard if anyone has the factory hex i would appreciate if you send it to me thanks
