  1. Just updated and everything went fine! Awesome upgrade and can't wait for more to come!
  2. have you tried doing recovery with the bashbunny to see if this fixes the issue? Have you tried another payload to see if its not just that one? To see what maybe going on add ATTACKMODE STORAGE to see if you can't get the storage up with that switch.
  3. This is going to be basic but make sure it's set to arm mode (switch 3) and it should work.
  4. I have tried this and it works but i cant get the driver for the EDM. internet sharing iz going to be hard to use when i cant have it for serial as well
  5. I have had one or two of these and it was nice but again it costs. For the same price you can find one that you can double the capacity on it and not have the pass threw or you can get the pass threw and have half the battery. I got a 12,000 one from walmart for $35 because it has the built in plug for the wall. Its not pass threw but for long uses it will last a good 7-8 hours no problem.
  6. Hey hak5 forums! I lurk more then post but since this is a community of like minded people i figured i would post this campaign i found on Indiegogo. The campaigns idea is that 4.3 billion people do not have access to the internet, so how do we fix that? Satellite communication, this form of internet is call "The Outernet" Its already up and running and by July of 2015 it will cover the entire world. They are running a campaign also to sell a small a "Tower" that communicates on several Frequencys for later use and to be future proof. Take a look at this project and let me know what you think! Iv already bought a tower ($99 + $15 shipping) and i must say im excited to see what this version of the internet will bring especially during major events. http://igg.me/at/outernet/x/9291781
  7. Here is a video of it working. As you can tell its not the best since im using only one dongle but as soon as it ends it has to take the time to go back to the control look and go back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvQAyjlPC_8&feature=youtu.be
  8. What i can do is record some tomorrow. its mostly good and as far as encryption goes yes but DSD+ decodes this also if im right. As far as how good its decent for one dongle. You really need to two for it to be better. Normally you use one for the control channel to get the info and lock it there and use the other to change between the channels. SInce im using one i am missing some of the voice and conversation but im ordering another soon to use it as a police scanner. Im sure if you get a proper antenna for the 800 mhz range it will work better.
  9. So after a few hours i finally got this to work. Using SDR#, unitrunker and DSD+ with a plugin for unitrunker and SDR# it works very well. You really need two dongles to get this to work right but one works well but following channels is a little hard. I followed a few tutorials and modified them a little to what my setup was. The how to's will be below. Happy scanning! https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4347574/hack5/scanner.png IMG http://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-radio-scanner-tutorial-decoding-digital-voice-p25-with-dsd/
  10. Looking at the one above I know of another that maybe a little cheaper and smaller. its good as i used to have one when the nvidia 650m's were out. It was good but for me to small. If the screen size of 13.3 inch is small go up to the 14 inch. Its good and small. Not to mention the 2-3 storage options you have on this baby. 2 Mstat slots ( card like SSD) and a normal ssd or hdd for storage. http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=product_info&model_name=NP7338
  11. I wouldn't even touch a ATM. there wireless is only active when in use if im right. Not to mention that only real way to hack it is to open it and install a back door. there used to be the OLD ATM's that took debugging code that could rewrite what you got. For example. If you wanted 20, it get you 40 and so on. These are, however, not in use for this reason.
  12. a old one but good one is called "hacker" is a 2 movie series that good. the second one kinda killed it.
  13. Another laptop i would recommend is the base items here. I5 or I7, 8 gigs of ram at least. 1 ubs3.0 maybe a SSD but i wouldn't if your going with storage or if you can get one with a dual 2.5 inch bay. right now i have a Sony vaio flip 13a thats really good. You don't really need a GPU unless you want to do brute force. It really depends on what you want to do and how "future proof" you wanna get. I use a cr-48 from google and it works with no problem. It has a dual core atom and 2 gig's of ram that blow threw anything i throw at it. the only downside to these is the 16 gig of ssd storage from the mini-pci slot. You can get one for 100-200 on ebay or craigslist. I like it due to no branding and no one knows what it is. Gives it that mysterious look to it.
  14. There are a few ways you can do this. One is the use a cellphone with a modified baseband and as Packet Ninja said spam the crap out of the frequencies. This can be in a range of 10 feet or a mile depending on the radio. Most of this is illegal unless you have FCC permission. I know a while back ( a year or two ago) it was legal for someone to use one within a 10-20 foot radius but i think it became so bad they made it illegal completely. Another way is to get a wireless providers in-home tower, mod the baseband and use that to intercept packets rather then for the actually tower too. With this tho i think i remember hak5 covering someone doing this at one point and decrypting the packets.
  15. I can't even see it XD my chrome wont let me. Ill have to check it out and see why.
