  1. I have a client that is involved with financial services and is expanding. They're looking to tighten security and I've been tasked with looking at multifactor auth for login. Does anyone have experience with any of these? Something that uses Google authenticator or a Yubikey would be ideal for them. Minimal hardware investment would be key, as most of the sites don't have anyone there that can really do much technically beyond plugging in a flash drive. We've contracted other companies to plug in copiers before; it's that bad. Something that requires little training would be perfect. Anything that we do will need some training and we're good with that, but some of the users are a little confused by change... I've looked at Rohos so far. What are other options? It's a Windows Domain. 12R2. All clients are 7/8.1/10. Can anyone offer a bit of assistance? Thanks!
  2. I'm using Astound Wave Broadband and I'm generally happy. Much less expensive than Comcast in the long run. Comcast may have promos that save you some money up front, but I'm paying $55 for a 110/10 connection at home. Speed is consistent as well.
  3. I don't know that scrubbing will be an option. That would, of course, be the BEST plan of action, but the client may not be down for it. I'm sure you know clients don't always go for things that are in their best interest. What we're looking to do is get as much info as possible. There may be nothing nefarious, but we need to do our due diligence. We need to get as much of a map of the location as we possibly can. It's not so much that we specifically distrust the current setup. I just don't know, which makes me wary. I'll look into both tools. We can get hands-on with everything if need be, but if we can pop a tool on a system and do a scan, it's going to be much easier. They have ~50 desktops and laptops and a half dozen or so servers. Automated is the way to go if possible. Thanks, Cooper.
  4. Greetings, all. I work for an MSP and we may be taking over for a rather aggressive IT manager. The potential client is interested in cost savings and better service overall. We feel he may have some backdoors installed on various sytems and we're trying to figure out how best to suss them out as much as possible. We're looking at Spiceworks for a quick and dirty map of things, but that won't really give us info on local admin accounts, etc. if I remember correctly. What we're looking for is a tool or some combination of tools to make our lives easier with the scan. I don't care about platform and I'm fine with paying. Free and Windows-based would be best, though. ;)
  5. Actually, I haven't given that a shot. I can ping 172.16.42.1 with no problems. I'll fire up Kali shortly and try it.
  6. It's pingable. I've tried various broswers, OSs, machines, and network adapters. None have worked. No firewalls enabled while working on the problem.
  7. Sugarat, thanks. Forgot about that. I've tried all that, but I'll run through it again. cres: I can't even get to a commandline on it.
  8. Seb, any update on the flashing guide? I'd really like to get this bugger working.
  9. Ah! Thanks. Is this a file that I could use in Recovery Mode? (I think that's what you guys call it; when you can connect via 192.168.1.1) I can drop into that. And even if it's a day 1 bug, I'm the only one bitching about it right now. If it was more widespread, there are firmware fixes to fix these things. I'm just unlucky right now. Ain't no thang. Seb, is there anything that I can get to you so you can debug it? I'm happy to help with whatever I can. I'd prefer this not have happened, but it is what it is, if I can get you some sort of info so the possibility of this happening to someone else is lessened, I'd love to. Thanks for the help and all the info.
  10. http://www.4gtricks.com/2013/03/verizon-4g-apn-settings.html that may help. Honestly, I just skimmed the page, though. May point you in the right direction.
  11. Popped the two files from the zip file on there, inserted the mSD card and waited several minutes for the lights to do the dance of joy.
  12. I just reflashed the FW and nothing's changed. I was hoping it was just a bad flash.
  13. Definitely jinxed! Devices will connect to it via Pinapple_blah (I don't remember the name. Doesn't matter). It's not that the device is curently broken, per se, I just can't get to the admin page for it via wired or wireless.
  14. lol. I'm still trying to figure out the challenge coin you gave me Saturday. I can't think all the time, consarn it!
  15. For the next rev of the manual, pg 9 has a typo, line 6 says ststic instead of static.
  16. No worries. Still no luck. Went out to lunch, messed with it for a few minutes before and after; no changes.
  17. That theoretically shouldn't make a difference. I can't get to the local interface to fuck with it. I did have it working as a generic AP, so I know traffic's flowing. But yes, Ping works fine.
  18. Swanky. Thanks. Was just going off what was in the manual.
  19. Oh, Seb. wp5.sh also doesn't seem to exist at wifipineapple.com
  20. Link to pics of manual. (Not the best quality, some of it's kinda crappy, really, but better than nothing) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2250290/pineappleMkV.7z If anything's REALLY shitty in there, lemme know, I'll retake the pic.
  21. That would explain why there's nothing on my card. The second I powered mine up, I thought of that. Should have taken an image first. x.x
  22. I've done that several times, unfortunately. Been trying since Saturday night to get it working. The SD card should be in the slot, correct? (After the initial flash)
  23. antidumB... :P https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2250290/20131014_105459.jpg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2250290/20131014_105511.jpg
  24. Hey, Seb. Green is solid Amber flashes, Blue flashes Red flashes
  25. Jmanuel: I'd love to, but there's seemingly nothing on there. There was no "firmware notes" card in the box? inTheDMZ: If I can get past the CGI error I'm getting, I'll be happy to.
