  1. Last week I saw a local news story on our favoite fruit. They don't name it in the story becasue it is so dangerous they don't want to advertise. http://kstp.com/news/stories/S3220966.shtml?cat=1
  2. Yes this is out of the box results. I haven't changed anything. This adapter was purchased on Amazon.com from a US based seller less than but close to a year ago. I am using Unbuntu 12.10 but is also works on my laptop running BTR3. It also worked when I was running 12.04.
  3. This probably won't help any but my AWUS036NHA works as advertised. jim@M68MT:/$ iw phy phy0 info Wiphy phy0 Band 1: Capabilities: 0x116e HT20/HT40 SM Power Save disabled RX HT20 SGI RX HT40 SGI RX STBC 1-stream Max AMSDU length: 3839 bytes DSSS/CCK HT40 Maximum RX AMPDU length 65535 bytes (exponent: 0x003) Minimum RX AMPDU time spacing: 8 usec (0x06) HT TX/RX MCS rate indexes supported: 0-7 Frequencies: * 2412 MHz [1] (27.0 dBm) * 2417 MHz [2] (27.0 dBm) * 2422 MHz [3] (27.0 dBm) * 2427 MHz [4] (27.0 dBm) * 2432 MHz [5] (27.0 dBm) * 2437 MHz [6] (27.0 dBm) * 2442 MHz [7] (27.0 dBm) * 2447 MHz [8] (27.0 dBm) * 2452 MHz [9] (27.0 dBm) * 2457 MHz [10] (27.0 dBm) * 2462 MHz [11] (27.0 dBm) * 2467 MHz [12] (disabled) * 2472 MHz [13] (disabled) * 2484 MHz [14] (disabled)
  4. In your "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:" there is no default gateway (Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :).
  5. Yes you need to make a symbolic link to the usb for the www folder. I can't give you the exact command to do it but I am sure someone here on the forum will. I use petertfm's setup script which makes the changes for me. You can read about the setup script here: http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/26363-mark-4-setup-script/page__hl__%2Bsetup+%2Bscript
  6. I have searched the internet for the answer but didn't find a fix. I am running ubuntu 12.04. When I am watching a flash video on youtube or any other site and close the broswer (FireFox) the video continues to play. I can't see the video but I can hear the audio. The only way I can get it to stop is to open a terminal and issue "killall firefox". I thought it was a FireFox problem so I installed Opera and I have the same problem. I am guessing it must be a flash problem. I removed and reinstalled flash but that didn't fix it either. I have two laptops one running Unbuntu 12.04 and one running BackTrack R3 and I don't have this problem on either of them. I am guessing I must have installed something I shouldn't have on my desktop which is causing this problem.
  7. It looks to me as though you are having problems running the wp4.sh script. Try this: Go here wifipineapple.com/wp4.sh (in firefox) to download the script. By default it should be saved to your Downloads directory. Open a terminal (Control Alt T) and type: cd Downloads ls -al (verify the wp4.sh is in the directory) sudo chmod +x wp4.sh sudo ./wp4.sh Once you correctly answer the questions the script asks your Pineapple should be fuctioning.
  8. Well no one responded to my post. I guess I am the last guy to build a mutipass. I was real late to the party. I see that some people read my post so I thought I would post what ended up working for me. The Hirens problem was just a typo in my menu.lst. The Trinity was a lot of trial and error but both are working now. title Trinity Rescue Kit kernel /trk3/kernel.trk vollabel=MULTIPASS ramdisk_size=65536 root=/dev/ram0 vga=788 splash=verbose pci=conf1 trkmenu initrd /trk3/initrd.trk title Hiren's BootCD find --set-root /HBCD/menu.lst configfile /HBCD/menu.lst
  9. I set up an ad hoc network once on XP, so I know it works. You didn't mention how you have the networking configured so I have to ask. On the XP desktop you have the network coming in through the Ethernet port, correct? You can't use the same wireless device to connect to the internet and also share the internet connection. You have to use two separate devices. Forgive me if I am pointing out the obvious. If you want to spend about 60 dollars you could get one of these. http://www.alfa.com.tw/in/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=R36&Category=105463 I have one that I used to tap into the neighbors WiFi and redistribute through my house as my own network and it worked very well in my opinion. It can be used with either a WIFi adapter or through the ethernet port.
  10. Here is what I have in my menu.lst for trinity resecue disk. title Trinity Rescue Kit kernel /TrinityRescueKit/kernel.trk initrd=/TrinityRescueKit/initrd.trk ramdisk_size=49152 root=/dev/ram0 vga=788 splash=verbose initrd /TrinityRescueKit/initrd.trk It trys to start up but the screen just scrolls a list of inode errors. Can anyone tell me what I have wrong here? Honestly I have no idea what anything in the menu list means. I have been just copying and pasting from other forum posts. Also my Hirens doesn't work right. It loads but I can't use any of the programs. title Start Hiren's BootCD find --set-root /hirens/HBCD/menu.lst configfile hirens/HirensBootCD/menu.lst Thanks for the help.
  11. I powered of the computer in lieu of a restart and the problem seem to have corrected itself.

  13. I install the update as they are offered so if I didn't get any today I am sure I did yesterday. As for today the only thing I have done hard drive related was I used Gparted to partition and format a flash drive to make a multipass drive. I don't see how that would have anything to do with the root drive. Unless I really messed up somehow. Did you notice in the properties picture it reads the drive is 140.t terabytes? Something isn't being reported right.
  14. I am running Ubuntu 12.04, I have a 1TB drive with 80 gigabytes partitioned for the operation system. I don't store anything else on this partiton, the rest of the job is for storage. Tonight I started getting popups telling me I am running out of space. I looked at the drive with several different tools and they all show different results. If anyone can tell me how to fix the issue other that reformatting and reinstalling I would appreciate it.
  15. I figured it out thanks to google. Thanks anyway.
